Indeed, it is charming =/= Schick ist es doch schon! 👹🍣🎎 Wundervolles Japan

And it continues. Even if it finally gets a little milder today and even a bit sunny, we were kinda dumped with snow until recently. In addition to all the snow, we were now also treated to really frosty temperatures, which had led to rather chaotic conditions on the roads. But away from that, it still looks just gorgeous.

So here are some more pictures from my way around. The first two were taking on the way to work. Then we have some pictures from a small shrine just around the corner and also from a temple out in the country. The small detour there I just could not resist, and I just had to take pictures of the small statues in the snow even though my feet got wet. Unfortunately, on this day I could not walk through the deep snow, since I didn't have spare clothes to get changed afterwards. Maybe the opportunity comes up again this winter. It is supposed to snow again this week.

##### And somehow I'm looking forward to it, at least a little bit.

DEUTSCH

_Es geht weiter. Auch in den letzten Tagen wurden wir noch einmal reinlich beschenkt, auch wenn es heute endlich mal wieder milder geworden ist und dabei sogar etwas sonnig. Zusatzlich zum vielen Schnee wurden wir jetzt auch noch mit richtig frostigen Temperaturen bedacht, welche auf den Straßen zu leicht chaotischen Zuständen geführt hatten. Aber Abseits davon sieht es oft immer noch einfach herrlich aus._

_Deshalb gibt es noch einmal ein Bilder von unterwegs und drumherum. Zum Anfang ein Bild von unterwegs zur Arbeit, danach von einem kleinen Schrein gleich um die Ecke und von einem Tempel draußen auf dem Land. Den kleinen Abstecher konnte ich mir einfach nicht nehmen lassen, besonders die kleinen Statuen im tiefen Schnee musste ich dann auch sofort aufs Foto bannen. Leider konnte ich an diesem Tag nicht durch den Tiefschnee waten, da hätte ich andere Kleidung gebraucht, um danach auf Arbeit nicht wie ein nasser kalter Tropf dazustehen. Meine Füße und Socken wurden auch so bereits ziemlich nass.Vielleicht ergibt sich ja die Gelegenheit noch einmal in diesem Winter. Es soll nämlich nächste Woche wieder schneien._

The paths you make yourself now or you stomp through the footsteps that another brave explorer has already left. Cold feet and wet socks are nothing unusual these days, but rosy cheeks and good mood neither.

_Die Wege macht man sich jetzt oft selber oder stapft durch die Fußstapfen, die ein anderer Mutiger bereits hinterlassen hat. Kalte Füße und nasse Socken sind in diesen Tagen nichts ungewöhnliches, aber rosige Wangen und gute Laune bei mir aber auch nicht._

As I mentioned before, I really had to stop by here. Unfortunately I couldn't make it through the deep snow that day, I would have needed different clothes to not look like a wet poodel afterwards.

_Wie schon erwähnt, musste ich hier unbedingt vorbeischauen. Leider konnte ich an diesem Tag nicht durch den Tiefschnee waten, da hätte ich dann was zum Wechseln gebraucht._

Many trains were cancelled or delayed, but in general most lines were running. Probably from a train you have a completely different perspective on the whole happening and can enjoy the winter wonderland even more. This gives me an interesting idea, let's see if I can tell you about it another time.

_Viele Züge sind natürlich ausgefallen oder kamen verspätet aber generell wird der Zugservice doch aufrechterhalten. Wahrscheinlich hat man von dort noch einmal ein ganz andere Perspektive auf das ganze Geschehen und kann das Winterwunderland noch mehr genießen. Da kommt mir gerade eine interessante Idee, mal schauen, ob ich euch davon ein anderes Mal berichten kann._

_Bleibt also dran, denn aus dem Land der aufgehenden Sonne gibt es bald wieder neue Bilder und Eindrücke zu entdecken._

I am sure North America can get way colder than my area. usually temperatures are around 0 degree Celsius and the snow gets wet very soon.

Und nein, hier ist keine Spur vom Schnee,
was echt merkwürdig ist.

unser Herbst hatte sich fast bis Weihnachten hingezogen und ist das fast abrupt in Winter übergegangen. Aus der Heimat bekomme ich auch keine Schneestände vermeldet, scheint wieder alles viel zu mild zu sein, für die Jahreszeit. Bei uns wird es wohl ziemlich nass werden, der Schnee taut immer schnell an, da es immer so um die 0 Grad sind. Und dann schneit es wieder :)

Ja, heute hat hier sogar mehr oder weniger
die Sonne um die Vorherrschaft gekämpft,
kommt mir langsam echt eher vor wie ein vorzeitiger Frühling
oder wesentlich verspäteter Herbst!
