Ab und zu gönne ich mir auch mal ein Schlückchen Feuerwasser, und an diesen so besonderen Tagen ist meist Sake die Wahl der Stunde. Je länger ich hier im Land der aufgehenden Sonne verweile, desto mehr Geschmack habe ich an den verschieden Reisweinen gefunden. Dabei kann ich natürlich keineswegs behaupten, wirklich eine Ahnung davon zu haben, welches Tröpfchen denn wirklich gut ist, aber zumindest habe ich bisher wohl noch nicht daneben gegriffen. Da es nicht regelmäßig vorkommt, dass ich mir ein kleines Schlückchen genehmige, hangel ich mich bei diesen seltenen Gelegenheiten meist eher unwissend und probierend aber dann doch voller Spaß an der Sache zum nächsten Glas. Und um Spaß an der Freude geht es hier doch eigentlich.

Bei einer der letzten Gelegenheiten gab es zusätzlich zum kleinen Sakebecher eine ganze Menge zu essen, was ich nicht ausgeschlagen habe. Dabei habe ich festgestellt, dass Sushi und Sake ein super Kombination sind und auch Tempura sich gut und gerne zum japanischen Reiswein gesellt.

Und einfach nur, weil die Gelegenheit günstig war, habe ich bei allem gut zugeschlagen und den Augenblick zu richtig genossen. Und wie sich später heraus gestellt hatte, hatte ich auch wieder einmal im richtigen Moment die Reisleine gezogen und mich anderen Dingen zugewendet, so dass es später und auch am nächsten Morgen keinerlei Ausfälle zu beklagen gab. Und wie es ausschaut, könnte es von diesem Spaß in nicht all zu ferner Zeit eine Wiederholung geben, auf die ich mich jetzt schon sehr freue. Glücklicherweise wiederholt sich Geschichte manchmal eben doch!

Every now and then I treat myself to a sip of firewater, and on those special days, sake is usually the choice of the moment. The longer I am here in the land of the rising sun, the more I have found a taste for the different rice wines. Of course, I can by no means claim to have a real idea of which sake is really good, but at least I haven't made any big mistakes so far. Since it does not happen regularly that I allow myself a small drink, on these rare occasions I am usually rather ignorant and I just try way to the next glass. However, I am having quite some fun and in the end that is what it's all about.

On one of the last occasions, in addition to my small cups of sake, there was a whole lot to eat, which I didn't turn down. I have found that sushi and sake are a super combination and also tempura joins well and gladly to the Japanese rice wine.

And simply because the opportunity was favorable, I have struck at everything well and enjoyed the moment too right. And as it turned out later, I had also again pull off at the right time and turned to other things. Later on and also the next morning, there were no losses to report. And it looks like I might be in for another round of this fun in the not too distant future. Sure, I am already looking forward to it. Fortunately sometimes history does repeat itself!
