I should have seen it coming, because none of this is a surprise. If I had been paying attention all all these years, I would know what to expect at this time of the year.

After the first days of June are behind us, summer has suddenly arrived. The last weeks were a loud harbinger of what was coming, but I didn't really want to believe it yet. The spring was too pleasant and somehow also too short, as that I would be already ready for the meteorological climax of the year. Quite the opposite, I would like to enjoy a few more fresh spring days, something that has simply come too short in recent weeks.

Fortunately, the summer is not yet in peak form and there is still clearly room for further expansion. But still I'm already sweating a little, especially now after the early dinner. And the increasing humidity makes for muggier air than last month during the delightful month of May, which I already miss very much.

Of course, there are many things I like about summer and I'm really looking forward to my first jump into the sea, which hopefully won't have to wait for too long. Nevertheless, we will soon have to endure the rainy season, which will hit us in the second half of the month. Technically, it belongs to summer, although many Japanese consider it a season of its own.

Until then, the weather should remain quite pleasant, even though the first rainy days have already been announced. Of course, they will come just in time for the weekend. If it stays like this, we won't be able to go on our planned outings, which I was looking forward to so much, and which we have hardly been able to enjoy so far. Too many things were and are on the agenda, but I hope that we still get out into nature a little more before the rain eventually hits us. I have so many plans, and as usual, so little time. I know I am not the only one with this dilemma. How do we break this Gordian knot?
