The opening of Chaos packages will take place in two days and many are wondering: is it better to open or better not to open the packages? No one can say for sure what is best to do as everyone will have their own reasons for opening or not opening. The question that can be answered with certainty is ...

 # In which cases is it better to open packages?

 Numbers can tell us with certainty which are the cases in which packages should be opened and which are the ones in which it is better to keep them closed.
 First of all we start from the data provided by Splinterlands on the Chaos packages; each pack has a drop percentage for each card rarity and each card has a Power. The following table summarizes the Drops and Power of the cards

 <table cellspacing = "0" border = "0">

 </tr>
 <tr>

 <td align = "right" valign = bottom sdval = "20" sdnum = "1033;"> <font color = "# 000000"> 20 </font> </td>
 <td align = "right" valign = bottom sdval = "20" sdnum = "1033;"> <font color = "# 000000"> 20 </font> </td>
 </tr>
 <tr>
 <td height = "19" align = "left" valign = bottom> <font color = "# 000000"> Epic </font> </td>

 <td align = "right" valign = bottom sdval = "500" sdnum = "1033;"> <font color = "# 000000"> 500 </font> </td>

 <td align = "left" valign = bottom> <font color = "# 000000"> <br> </font> </td>

 </table>

 From these data it is possible to calculate the average Power of each package, assuming to be able to open 100

 78.8 is the average Power of each package.

 Now it is possible to say with certainty which are the cases in which it is better to open or not to open packages.
 1. earn as many sps as possible: the value of a closed package is worth 300 points while that of an open package is 78.8; in this case it is more convenient to keep packages closed
 2. level up: the total Power of the packs owned must be added to the current Power to know if you will level up. To know how to apply this formula:
**Total Power = Current Power + (Packages Owned * 78.8)**
 If the total Power will level up it is better to open the packages

 3. Use many Gold potions: if you have at least 100 Gold potions, the amount of golden cards will double, doubling the average Power of each pack if all Gold cards will be common, up to multiply it by 150 Power and SPS airdrop points in case of Gold are all legendary. In this case, if you are feeling lucky, it is best to use all the Gold Potions you have and open the packs

# In quali casi è meglio aprire i pacchetti?

<table cellspacing="0" border="0">

**Power totale = Power attuale + ( pacchetti posseduti * 78.8)**
