Everything that surrounds us is divine geometry, it is inside and outside of us, in the flowers, in the leaves of the trees, in the snowflakes, in the cellular structure... It is not a coincidence that when drawing we need geometrical figures to achieve that perfect compositional harmony. In vector design, geometric figures and objects are the basis of everything.

>Todo lo que nos rodea es geometría divina, está dentro y fuera de nosotros, en las flores, en las hojas de los árboles,en los copos de nieve, en la estructura celular... No es coincidencia que al dibujar necesitemos de figuras geométricas para lograr esa armonía compositiva perfecta. En el diseño vectorial, las figuras y objetos geométricas son la base de todo.

I admit that making mandalas is something i enjoy, I don't take it as something really serious and mechanized, when i draw mandalas, it is a moment to let myself be carried away by spontaneous strokes, without any special purpose. The interesting thing is that as it takes shape, it becomes complex and far-fetched, you never really know how it will end or what shape it will be, it's like life, like seeds, like every living thing, unique and authentic.

>Admito que hacer mandalas es algo que disfruto, no lo tomo como algo realmente serio y mecanizado, cuando dibujo mandalas, es un momento para dejarme llevar por trazos espontáneos, sin ningún propósito en especial. Lo interesante es que a medida que va tomando forma, se torna complejo y rebuscado, nunca sabes realmente cómo terminará o qué forma tendrá, es como la vida, como las semillas, como cada ser vivo, es único y no hay dos iguales.

During this long quarantine i was motivated to use, try and learn other techniques to apply to my work. I usually work with traditional techniques, i admit that i have a great attachment to traditional drawing, the direct contact with the paper, with the drawing materials, their texture, that pleasure of getting your hands dirty is amazing. Although i manage design programs, they are not my priority when i make art, they are more like a support. But this time i decided to create my beloved mandalas in a different way, i am a lover of vectorial designs, that sharpness, that neatness that is achieved with each point, with each stroke seems amazing to me. And so i began to give shape to this sacred vector in Adobe Illustrator:

>Durante esta larga cuarentena me sentí motivada a usar, probar y aprender otras técnicas para aplicarlas a mis trabajos. Usualmente trabajo con técnicas tradicionales, admito que tengo un gran apego al dibujo tradicional, el contacto directo con el papel, con los materiales de dibujo, su textura, ese placer de ensuciarte las manos es alucinante. Aunque manejo programas de diseño, no son mi prioridad cuando hago arte, son más como un soporte. Pero esta vez decidí crear mis queridos mandalas de otra forma, soy una amante de los diseños vectoriales, esa nitidez, esa pulcritud que se logra con cada punto, con cada trazo me parece alucinante. Y así comencé a darle forma a este vector sagrado en Adobe Illustrator:

The first step is crucial, it is necessary to create the base or the structure for our composition, there are many ways to do it, each one will use the one it considers best, in my casei like to apply those tricks that allow us to achieve a kaleidoscopic effect while we make each line, in such a way that it can be reproduced simultaneously. It's a bit of a mess for my taste. Two layers are created.  In the first layer using the line segment tool, i drew a vertical line, it should be centered both horizontally and vertically, then i applied the transform effect to create 11 copies and rotate them at 15°. In the second layer, you draw two cross lines, they are aligned just like the previous one, they must be on the first layer.

>El primer paso es crucial, es necesario crear la base o la estructura para nuestra composición, hay muchas formas de hacerlo, cada uno usará la que mejor le parezca, en mi caso me gusta aplicar esos trucos que nos permiten lograr un efecto caleidoscopio mientras hacemos cada trazo, de tal manera que se puede reproducir simultáneamente. Es una parte un poco enredada para mi gusto. Se crean dos capas.  En la primera capa usando la herramienta de segmento de línea, tracé una línea vertical, debe estar centrada tanto horizontal como verticalmente, luego se aplica el efecto de transformar para crear 11 copias y rotarlas a 15°. En la segunda capa, se trazan dos líneas en cruz, se alinean igual que la anterior, deben estar sobre la primera capa.  </div>

Then with the brush tool i made a line which will be applied two effects, one to transform, duplicate and reflect and another to rotate 11 copies at 30 °. We return to the first layer with our baselines and expand the appearance. In the second layer i drew a rectangle in the first quadrant, which will be subtracted a point to create the triangle that will allow us to create our cutting mask to hide those  traces outside the guides lines. In the first layer, i duplicated the group of my guide lines to rotate them to 7.5° and to be in the center of the previous ones. changing the color and a more tenuous trace.Other shapes can be drawn on this layer to serve as a base. And so,i created my own vectorial meditation moment.

>Luego con la herramienta pincel hice un trazo al cual se le aplicará dos efectos, uno para transformar,duplicar y reflejar y otro para rotar 11 copias a 30° .Volvemos a la primera capa con nuestras líneas base y expandimos la apariencia.En la segunda capa tracé un rectángulo en el primer cuadrante, al cual se le restará un punto para  crear el triángulo que nos permitirá crear nuestra máscara de recorte para ocultar esos trazos que sobresalgan de nuestras líneas guías.En la primera capa, dupliqué el grupo de mis líneas guía para rotarlas a 7.5° y que queden en el centro de las anteriores. Cambiándoles el color y un trazo más tenue.En esta capa se pueden trazar otras formas que sirvan como base. Y asi puede crear mi momento meditativo y vectorial.
