Hello everyone.
Last summer, when the summer school was just over, I decided to go to Büyükçekmece Beach with a friend to relieve the stress. I had to get over this stress because I could only get a passing grade in 3 of the 4 courses I took in summer school. Although I studied for the other lesson, I could only give one correct answer out of 15 questions. 😀 I know this is a really funny situation. But I can say that the course was also quite difficult. It was Assembly, which is a machine language, and it was really complex for me. But luckily, when the new semester started, I was able to pass that course easily.

>Geçen yaz, henüz yaz okulu yeni bittiğinde bunun stresini atmak için bir arkadaşımla beraber Büyükçekmece Sahili' ne gitmeye karar verdik. Bu stresi atlatmam gerekiyordu çünkü yaz okulunda aldığım 4 tane dersten sadece 3 tanesinden geçme notu alabildim. Diğer derse de çalışmama rağmen 15 sorudan sadece 1 tane tek doğru cevap verebildim. 😀 Bu gerçekten çok komik bir durum biliyorum. Ama dersin de oldukça zor olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Bir makine dili olan Assembly dersiydi ve benim için gerçekten çok karmaşıktı. Ama neyse ki yeni dönem başladığında o dersten kolayca geçebildim.

In the past years, there was almost nothing in this area in Büyükçekmece. There were only trees and a fountain. Later they built a town hall here. The architecture of this building is really different and beautiful. It's one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen. It is indeed a very large and magnificent building. I couldn't find the photos of this building I mentioned among the old photos. But most likely I may have shared the photo of this building here in Hive before. The color of this building is like yellow.

Bu binanın mimarisi gerçekten çok farklı ve güzel. Bugüne kadar buralarda gördüğüm en güzel binalardan birisi. Gerçekten çok büyük ve ihtişamlı bir bina. Eski fotoğraflar arasından bahsettiğim bu binanın fotoğraflarını bulamadım. Ama büyük ihtimalle ben bu binanın fotoğrafını daha önce burada Hive' da paylaşmış olabilirim. Bu binanın rengi sarı gibi.

I heard that this bay on Büyükçekmece Beach is called Albatross Bay. Since a close friend of mine spent his childhood here in Büyükçekmece, we used to come here with him sometimes. We used to walk here from morning to night and we would walk all the time. I'm talking about 5 years ago. When I was still in high school. Now I can't find the opportunity to come to this beach where I have collected so many good memories. But maybe I can go to this beach when the weather gets warmer again.


>Büyükçekmece Sahili' ndeki bu körfeze Albatros Körfezi dendiğini duymuştum. Yakın bir arkadaşımın çocukluğu burada Büyükçekmece' de geçtiği için bazen onunla buraya gelirdik. Burada sabahtan akşama kadar gezerdik ve sürekli yürürdük. Yaklaşık 5 yıl öncesinden bahsediyorum. Henüz lisede olduğum zamanlar. Şimdi çok fazla güzel anı biriktirdiğim bu sahile gelmeye fırsat bulamıyorum. Ama belki de tekrar havalar ısınınca bu sahile gidebilirim.

The other side of the bay, a deep blue sea, sands, sky and skyline. What could be more beautiful than this? Now I understand much better. Why am I at peace here? I thought I should come back here when the weather gets warmer. Even if it's alone... You know, if you have good memories in a place, you would like to go there occasionally or rarely. If you think of such a thing and if you have the opportunity, do not delay it. Because some things should definitely not be postponed. Maybe we will be much more motivated for this life we live. I think I've been motivated for a while. But I still have dreams to fulfill.


>Körfezin diğer tarafı, masmavi bir deniz, kumlar, gökyüzü ve ufuk çizgisi. Bundan daha güzel ne olabilir ki? Şimdi çok daha iyi anlıyorum. Burada neden huzur içinde olduğumu. Düşündüm de havalar ısınınca tekrar buraya gelmeliyim. Yalnız da olsa... Bilirsiniz ya eğer bir yerde güzel anılar biriktirmişseniz ara sıra da olsa nadiren de olsa oraya gitmek istersiniz. Eğer böyle bir şey düşünürseniz ve imkanınız varsa sakın ertelemeyin. Çünkü bazı şeyler kesinlikle ertelenmemeli. Belki de yaşadığımız bu hayat için çok daha fazla motive oluruz. Ben birkaç zamandır motive olduğumu düşünüyorum. Ama hala gerçekleştirmem gereken hayallerim var.

We walked a little on the beach and after sitting on the sand a little bit, we walked a little on the streets of Büyükçekmece. In these streets, there are usually plenty of plane trees and pine trees. Sycamore trees are really long-lived trees. That's why I would love to have Sycamore trees planted everywhere. There are really a lot of plane trees on the sides of Istanbul close to the Bosphorus, and these trees are really tall. Perhaps each of these trees is at least 100 years old. Trees much older than anyone living here right now. They were there before all of us.


>Biraz sahilde yürüdük ve biraz da kumların üstünde oturduktan sonra biraz da Büyükçekmece' nin sokaklarında yürüdük. Bu sokaklarda genelde bol bol çınar ağaçları ve çam ağaçları var. Çınar ağaçları gerçekten çok uzun ömürlü ağaçlar. O yüzden her yere Çınar ağaçları ekilmesini çok isterdim. İstanbul' un Boğaz' a yakın taraflarında gerçekten çok fazla Çınar ağaçları var ve bu ağaçların boyları gerçekten çok uzun. Belki de bu ağaçların her biri en az 100 yaşında. Şuanda burada yaşayan herkesten çok daha yaşlı ağaçlar. Onlar hepimizden önce oradaydı.

The huge building you see on the left side of this photo was newly built when we went to Büyükçekmece. I don't know exactly what this building was built for, but I do know that there are ferries to Bursa from here. I didn't see these ferries when I came here last summer. Maybe the ferries stop behind this building. Once I return to Bursa, I will buy a ticket from here and try to go to Bursa. But I love traveling on big ferries. In small ferries, when we try to get up from the seat and go somewhere, our balance is disturbed because the ferry wobbles a lot.





>Bu fotoğrafın sol kısmında gördüğünüz kocaman bina yeni inşa edilmişti biz Büyükçekmece' ye gittiğimizde. Bu binanın tam olarak ne için inşa edildiğini bilmiyorum ama buradan Bursa' ya feribot seferleri olduğunu biliyorum. Geçen yaz buraya geldiğimde bu feribotları görmedim. Belki de bu binanın arkasında duruyordur feribotlar. Bir kere Bursa' ya dönersem buradan bilet alıp Bursa' ya gitmeyi deneyeceğim. Ama ben büyük feribotlarla yolculuk yapmayı çok seviyorum. Küçük feribotlarda koltuktan kalkıp bir yere gitmeye çalışınca feribot çok sallandığı için dengemiz bozuluyor.

The streets of Büyükçekmece are usually very empty and quiet at night. Sometimes we couldn't see people or cars for minutes. I think I like places like this better. Less noise and less crowd seems better. But sometimes people just want to blend in with the crowd when they're alone for a long time. Because sometimes it's good for us actually.

>Büyükçekmece' nin sokakları geceleri genelde çok boş ve sessiz oluyor. Bazen dakikalarca insan ve araba göremiyorduk. Sanırım böyle yerleri daha çok seviyorum. Az gürültü ve az kalabalık daha iyi gibi. Ama bazen insanlar uzun bir süre yalnız kaldıklarında kalabalığa karışmak ister. Çünkü bu bazen bizim için iyidir aslında.

There is a pizzeria that sells cheap pizza in the Shopping Center in Büyükçekmece and these pizzas are really delicious. We bought and ate pizza when we went there last summer, but I forgot to take a picture of the pizza. The best thing about the pizza cooked there is that it has chicken in it and it's a pizza with lots of vegetables. After getting the pizza, we went to the beach and sat on the sand and ate pizza. I think it's better than sitting at the Mall and eating pizza.




>Büyükçekmece' de ki Alışveriş Merkezinde ucuza pizza satan bir pizzacı var ve bu pizzalar gerçekten çok lezzetli. Geçen yaz orada gittiğimizde pizza alıp yemiştik ama pizzanın fotoğrafını çekmeyi unuttum. Orada pişirilen pizzanın en güzel yanı içinde tavuk olması ve bol sebzeli bir pizza olması. Pızzayı aldıktan sonra sahile gitmiştik ve kumların üzerinde oturup pizza yemiştik. Bence Alışveriş Merkezi' nde oturup pizza yemekten daha iyi.

Once again, I'll go there with a dear friend and we'll be there all day. I don't want to do this right now when the weather is cold. But when summer comes, I will definitely do it. Because the time I spend there with my friends is really fun and good. Imagine that you can talk to your friend for hours non-stop. This is really fun isn't it? True friends always find something to talk about.


>Bir kere de sevdiğim bir arkadaşımla beraber oraya gideceğim ve bütün gün orada olacağız. Şuanda havalar soğukken bunu yapmak istemiyorum. Ama yaz geldiğinde bunu kesinlikle yapacağım. Çünkü arkadaşlarımla orada geçirdiğim zaman gerçekten çok eğlenceli ve iyi. Düşünsenize arkadaşınızla saatlerce hiç durmadan konuşabiliyorsunuz. Bu gerçekten de çok eğlenceli değil mi? Gerçek arkadaşlar her zaman konuşacak bir şeyler bulur.
