## क्षमा वीरस्य भूषणम्  (भाग # १) | Heroes Pride Forgiveness (Part # 1)

क्षमा वीरों का भूषण है । कमजोर, असमर्थ अथवा कायर क्षमा कर सकने की शक्ति धारण ही नहीं करता, जो शक्तिधारी है, वीर है, वही क्षमावान हो सकता है । संसार में सबसे अधिक शक्तिशाली तीर्थंकर होते हैं, अत: वे सबसे अधिक क्षमावान भी होते हैं ।

क्रोध एक दुर्बलता है । मानव-जीवन में वह सहज है, किन्तु तभी तो उसे विजित करने की आवश्यकता है – मानव-जीवन का लक्ष्य ही है – कमजोरी, दुर्बलता को विजित करना तथा मानसिक तथा आत्मिक शक्तियों का विकास करना । अन्यथा मनुष्य का जीवन तथा एक मस्तिष्कविहीन पशु का जीवन दोनों समान ही बन जाते हैं । मनुष्य जीवन की विशेषता उसमे से निकल जाती है ।

दुर्बल व्यक्ति ही अधिक क्रोध करता है । क्योंकि क्रोध के अतिरिक्त वह और कुछ कर ही नहीं सकता ! शक्तिशाली व्यक्ति कुछ कर सकता है, अत: निरर्थक क्रोध की उसे आवश्यकता नहीं होती । या तो वह पूर्ण प्रतिकार करता है, अथवा यदि वह अधिक विचारवान है तो वह क्षमा करता है । अत: यह कहा जा सकता है कि क्रोध करना कायरों का कार्य है, वीरों का धर्म तो क्षमा करना ही है ।

यह एक सिद्ध सत्य है कि घृणा से घृणा ही उत्पन्न होती है । इसी प्रकार क्रोध से क्रोध ही बढ़ सकता है । उससे स्नेह, शान्ति नहीं मिल सकती । आज का युग आपसी कलह, ईष्या तथा युद्ध की भावना के कारण विनाश के कगार पर आ पहुंचा है । मनुष्य युद्ध की अग्नि को प्रज्वलित करके शांति की शीतलता पाने का स्वप्न देख रहा है । यह कैसी विडम्बना है ! यह विचार और बुद्धि के सर्वथा विनाश का ही संकेत है । आग का परिणाम आग और जलन ही हो सकता है । बुराई करके बदले में भलाई की आशा करना पागलपन या मुर्खता ही कहा जा सकता है । यह अबोधता एक बालक की सहज अबोधता से भी हीन है ।

क्रोध शान्त करने के लिए वीर प्रभु ने कहा है –
**<center>उवसमेण हणे कोहं माणं मद्दवया जिणे ।</center>**
**<center>मायामज्ज्वभावेण, लोहं संतोसओ जिणे ।।</center>**

अर्थात् क्रोध को शांति से, अहंकार को नम्रता से, कपट (माया) को सरलता से और लोभ को संतोष से जीतो । यही शांति का मार्ग है ।

क्रोध जितने के शक्ति क्षमा में ही है ।

भर्तृहरि ने कहा है –
**<center>“अक्रोधेन जयेत् क्रोधम्,</center>**
**<center>असाधुं साधुना जयेत् ।</center>**
**<center>जयेत् कदर्थ दानेन,</center>**
**<center>सत्ये नालीक वा दिनम् ।।”</center>**

वैर भाव को जीतने के लिए क्षमा का नीर चाहिए । जिस प्रकार राख फेंकने वाले के स्वयं के मुंह पर ही राख उड़कर आती है, उसी प्रकार गाली देने वाले को ही गाली लगती है । इस विषय में भगवान बुद्ध का दृष्टांत हम सभी जानते हैं । किसी के द्वारा उन्हें गाली दिये जाने पर उन्होंने क्षमाभाव धारण करते हुए कहा था – “गाली उसने मुझे दी होगी, किन्तु मैंने तो वह गाली ली नहीं । उसकी गाली तो उसी के पास रही ।”

क्रोध को समाप्त किये बिना कल्याण का पथ ग्रहण नहीं किया जा सकता ।

**<center>“क्रोधस्य कालकूटस्य विद्यते महदन्तरम् ।</center>**
**<center>स्वाश्रयं दहति क्रोध: कालकूटो न चाक्षयम् ।।”</center>**

क्रोध तथा कालकूट विष में भी बहुत अन्तर है । कालकूट विष कम से कम अपने को धारण करने वाले का विनाश नहीं करता । किन्तु क्रोध तो इतना प्रबल विष है कि वह स्वयं को धारण करने वाले को ही विनष्ट कर डालता है । हमें गम्भीरतापूर्वक विचार करके अपने जीवन में समाये हुए इस विष को निकाल फेंकना चाहिए ।

विश्व भौतिकता के क्षेत्र में तेज़ी से प्रगति कर रहा है । विज्ञान बहुत आगे बढ़ चुका है । किन्तु यह सारी प्रगति केवल बाह्य है । आंतरिक उन्नति केवल अपने गुणों के विकास के द्वारा ही सम्भव है, और वही सच्ची उन्नति है भी । क्षमाभाव का विकास इस सच्ची उन्नति के लिए अनिवार्य है । धर्म के वास्तविक स्वरूप को जानने के लिए क्षमा-गुण का होना आवश्यक है और इस गुण को प्राप्त करने के लिए क्रोध का परित्याग किया जाना चाहिए । जो व्यक्ति क्रोध की वृत्ति से दूर रहता है वह बड़े से बड़े कटु प्रसंग के उपस्थित होने पर भी क्रोधित नहीं होता । उसका व्यवहार प्रेम तथा मधुरता से परिपूर्ण हो जाता है ।
