 # Here's How To Effectively Microblog Micro blogging on Hive Blockchain feels like a dirty word as it is a common topic that is raised amongst users and it's not hard to understand why. It can be quite challenging at times to create articles that meet certain word counts. You find yourself having to create additional sentences and word structures that contribute to the main objective of the article in order to meet the requirements in a way that doesn't stand out but also puts you at risk of disengaging your readers and making errors. Which is exactly what I did above, did you notice? But there is an effective way to microblog on the blockchain without actually microblogging and I am not saying that I am the greatest at it as there are many that do it well. A blogger that does it well who comes to mind is @jk6276 with his [This Week in the Cosmos - Edition 2 - 24 Jan 2022](https://leofinance.io/@jk6276/this-week-in-the-cosmos-edition-2-24-jan-2022) and incase you missed it I also gave micro blogging a crack yesterday with my [A Quick Rundown on Latest Hive and Crypto News](https://leofinance.io/@melbourneswest/a-quick-rundown-on-latest-hive-and-crypto-news) solely for the purpose of breaking it down for you all today. So Lets walks through how to Micro Blog. ### Select your topics  First thing you will need to do is research, unfortunately just because you're going to be writing less doesn't mean you can get away with sharing less and you won't be writing less just giving yourself plenty of opportunity to reach word counts. This works best with trending news but you can also use it if you want to focus on a specific blockchain or a trend. But remember you will need to provide your readers with enough information for them to know what is happening or want them to go and find more out about something. Where to start? ### The Introduction  You're introduction is a snapshot of what is to come if people continue reading, there is a formula to follow for traditional writing and it's what we get taught at school (if we can remember). For this form of micro blogging you don't want to waste too many words or lead people on, this is your hook. Don't write any more than a single paragraph and focus it on what you're going to do and make it catchy (or try to). ### The Lead Article  I led with the latest MuTerra news and I did this for a few reasons as I think MuTerra is something a lot of people are following and anticipating to do well on Hive. They also have the most happening at current with a community naming contest and pack sales. This article opened up to my readers that I mean business and they're going to get a lot of information real fast that is valuable. I also added a link to my MuTerra article for those who maybe have just found out about MuTerra and want to know more. Then I also deflected and provided the source for all the information to the MuTerra official Discord channel where users can click on that and directly participate in the live events. All that in 150 words. ### Our Word Count Reduces  If your first microblog has done well now you have their attention and this is where you reduce your words and provide something that you want to share but doesn't have too much at current. I threw PolyCub into second position because it does have an exciting development emerging soon(ish) and we used even less words. remember microblogs, don't over do it otherwise you should probably be writing an article about it. ### The Smallest Thred  Your third article should be your shortest and for me I used Ragnarok as there is a bit going on but nothing interesting enough other than their art reveal post. I also linked to a previous article I had written about the project for people wanting to know more. ### Quick before they leave!  At this stage people are probably thinking, hmmm not much happening the information has been good but do I want to continue? is it worth it to me to keep going? that's when BAM! you hit them with another news story that has actions in this case Speaknetwork is seeking testnet witnesses and their testing their token. This is huge news especially on Hive Blockchain as the majority of your readers are getting airdropped. ### Fill in and conclusion  We continue to fill in our microblog with some news that I think will spark peoples attention with Cine and VYB which are both growing on the Hive Blockchain. But we don't go too in depth because these projects are still starting up and we don't want to make a shill post these infills are more "*Hey do you know about these?"* We then conclude with some significant news relating to mainstream adoptions and the possible lowering of crypto mining costs with Intel's entry to the market and mainstream adoption of Crypto. Those are both really big ticket items but not worth their own articles. More fitting to just share it in a micro blog. By the end of the article we have exceeded 800 words and made an article filled with general Google Search engine keywords and links which will also increase the articles ranking. So the next time you think about tweeting, maybe hold off and instead of Tweeting information a few times a day put it to good use in a micro blog and then tweet that instead. Good way to micro blog and cover a bunch of topics. I've been noticing more and more "blog" posts getting shorter and shorter from new people coming on to the chain. It just makes sense out of 100 people maybe 10 or fewer actully want to take the time to write a 500 word article and more than likely being brand new it will go unnoticed and that well kinda really sucks which I feel would encourage someone to be less and less likely to write a long article again. I seriously can't wait for the micro blog as I know that's going to be booming with people and new people. I'm sure it will leave to even more spam on Hive itself though and leofinance that will need to be kept in check.
