BENIFITS AND USED OF COGON GRASS

Cogon is a common herb that often grows in vacant lots, roadside and vast plains. It can grow at a height of 30 to 80 centimeters. There are long and tapered leaves, and flowers are white and feathers. It is easy to grow in any type of soil and is considered a plant pest in many places.
The different parts of the kogon may be able to handle certain types of chemicals and substances that may be of benefit to health:
The root is obtained by lignan glycoside, and impecyloside.The root also contains arundalo, cylindrin, fernenol, cylindol, cylindrene, grminones and imperanene.

Some parts of the plant can be used as a medicine such as the root of the cogon is often used in treating certain types of diseases.

★ Dysenteria. The water from boild cogon grass is effective for diarrhea which involves dysenteria.

★ Difficulty in urination. It is also a good medicine for urinary tract inflammation.

★ Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). The fresh root of the cogon grass is also an effective cure for urinary tract infections.

★Diabetes. Regular drinking also helps to regulate diabetics.

★Worms in the stomach. It is also good for the worms in the abdomen to drink the water from boild cogon grass.

★ Wound. The wound should be wiped clean to help quick healing.

Cogon grass used also as a roof of some native houses, and know even cotages from different beach resort are using cogon grass as a roof.
