Building a shop/set

I've been thinking for a while that I need to re-arrange an area of my shop. The purpose, of course, is not only because of workflow and efficiency but also, for filming.

It seems to me that the next logical step, since I'm building unique instruments, is to document the builds. In my opinion it would be pretty awesome that someone buying one of my instruments can follow along an online series that documented said build. 

I would like to say it would be the case for everything, but I fully anticipate it consuming a lot more of my time. I'll try however, to get good at editing and not make the videos too long or boring. A common mistake I see small builders make online.

One thing I'm wondering quite a bit about, is the style of video. Would it be best to do voice overs, asmr stuff, live commenting? I'm really not sure. I tend to think some people have what it takes to be more of a personality on camera, but some others seem to be in the way of the meat a potatoes of it all.

I guess experimenting is the only thing left.

I prefer to hear the hands do the talking. Pedulla Studio has a sweet shop. Are those ALDI Originals Workzone chisels btw, got a set a while ago to trash mostly and they've turned out to be my best chisels.

Yup, I was very pleasantly surprised by those chisels. 

A couple years ago I bought a cheap set of brushes from Amazon to destroy, I kept hesitating to take them out to use  and ended up using the ten dollar ones from Lowes/hd but this autumn when I was painting the house I was very disappointed with the "top of the line" ten dollar ones and when I actually took a look at the 'cheap' brushes I realized the unfinished handles were selling the bristle short! I basically finished 3/4 of the house, trim too, with one brush, and used the same one to do the back and front porch and posts and rafters, about 1200 sq ft on top, along with some planters and the brush has only  a few bristles which are bending and didn’t lose but 3 or 4 that I noticed the whole time, very impressive!

I do like to see a neat workshop. I guess you built a lot of that yourself as you have the skills. Some sort of commentary on what you are doing is great. I see some videos, e.g. for guitar pedals, where they say nothing and I find that annoying. I want to hear some personality in a video.
