Let me add, its marketing and using what you have at your advantage... Steem has so much unused tools but yea, its make no sense even saying anything, it never gets done or they override it and do the opposite...

Marketing is definitely a big part of it. Justin is also targeting the Chinese market, which is huge. But yes, other blockchains need to start imitating one like Tron, hiring marketing experts and people with connections.

It's 100% the airdrop that is driving this price action. In a bull market this would have made a mild jump in price, but with people in the trading world being bored right now they will jump on anything that moves. 

I wouldn't be suprised that even a few days before the air drop hits the price begins to go back down and a few weeks after the air drop if the price doesn't do a 100% correction. 

It's just a waste of time if you ask me marketing like this because most of the time it's all hype with no or very little follow through.

Marketing balanced with tech..currently we are sitting at near zero marketing !!

preach. yeah man. there’s a reason why lots of other blockchain projects get the hype and publicity. 

sure i am very biased and think steem is king. we have so many amazing projects going. 

but alas. we can learn a lot from justin and his tron chain. it’s amazing to see them grow and the excitement surrounding it. steem should pay attention and capture some of that.

Beyond the marketing and technology involved. I think the hope of following the development of projects from the beginning attracted people. We recommend, for example, a smile that uses mimblewimble

They benefited for the huge deployment of tokens to fund every aspect of their project for years which is I think where many failed as they speculated that prices would continue to rise.  This has given them the funding to aggressively market and pursue their roadmap with fireworks at ever step to raise the attention of the community at large!  Seems like marketing genius to me and good administrators m.

Hey @meno, do you know if we have something like a decentralized internet?
I read one day about the main problem today is that we have centralized servers and to solve this problem we need a decentralized internet, and when I said that, someone told me about TRON, but I don't know if TRON could give us some feature like that. Do you know if they can?

HOT has also doubled this week, HOLO is the project behind the token and it is super legit...  they don’t do marketing either.

I fully agree with your point here - Marketing matters, especially in the beginning. I’d say it’d be even presumptuous to think that people will find your product anyways.

Marketing helps a brand to be shaped and an idea of a product / service to be deeply anchored in the target group’s brains. If you miss that step people may form their own idea about the product in their minds - and their’s may differ from your own. 

Marketing is key and it has been completely missed on Steem so far. So yeah, let’s spread the word!

Hi @meno, this is similar to a recent post I wrote about how the best investments you can make in this bear market are most likely the coins with the highest trade volume on the exchanges, and the most transactions (the most users). Just my opinion. Tron is faster than Ethereum and it's free. People can't get over that it's free for users, and all the comparisons being made with Ethereum. Also, Justin Sun posts nearly every single day on Twitter so it's really hard to ignore if you're on social media. The fact that Kobe Bryant actually spoke with Justin Sun at a conference is impressive as well. Tron's slogan is to "decentralize the internet," what is Steem's slogan?  Also, we might want something like this https://tronaccelerator.io/ Lastly, we need more exchanges Tron is listed on over 171 exchanges, and Steem is listed on just over 20. We could really use Steem/USD pairs as well.

Most of the people here don't do anything to market steem but they sure want more people to join. 
The tech aspect of steem is okay for now and what we could really use is a frontend that makes steem less of a blockchain and more of a social media platform...
Anyway, This post just gave me inspiration to write a long rant on how we can fix most of the problems with steem...
