Now, two universities in Commiefornia's biggest city  are quarranting students.  Couldn't you just feel this latest ramp up of the measles scare coming?

"Two major Los Angeles universities have instituted quarantines following a measles outbreak. The quarantine affects 200 students and staff members at the University of California and Cal State University.

“One person with a confirmed measles case can expose thousands of people to measles,” Dr. Barbara Ferrer, director of public health for Los Angeles County, said at a news conference Thursday."

Umm....the article doesn't even tell us how many students supposedly caught the measles.  Maybe they learned from getting caught FAKING the numbers of sick in the New York City area that when they were setting up to pull the same measles FF in America's third-biggest city out in whackadoodle land that they probably shouldn't even discuss that little detail at all...

Hey, Big Pharma...your desperation is showing.  

Come on now, are profits really THIS important??

There is a thing called "macular degeneration" and it was the bane of my career. We could remove a cataract and take a person who could not tell how many fingers I had in front of their nose to 20/20 vision in half an hour. It truly felt like being the pinky finger on the healing hand of God. Macular degeneration... we could slow it down but we could not stop it. We could "reassure" patients that they would probably die before they went totally blind, but some went totally blind first. 
I was SO excited when our clinic was chosen to be part of a clinical trial for a new treatment that offered hope to these people. I was flown to Puerto Rico, put up in the best hotel in San Juan, wined and dined and "trained" by Ely Lily professionals who told us all they were looking for treatments, not cures, because there is no profit in cures. All of us laughed, we thought it was a joke. Proof that you can tell people the truth to their face and if they are not ready to hear it, they will NOT. All of us were very caring professionals, there to bring hope to the hopeless part of our patient base. We heard what we needed to hear to keep doing what we were doing... 
You have to know that footage of the Pharma exec doing a perp walk warmed my heart.
