Don't forget: MMR is not only a vaccine against measles. Mumps and Rubella are perhaps even more dangerous than measles.

My view regarding vaccines is simply put: I've got a vaccination scar on one of my upper arms, but not on the other. The second vaccination wasn't needed anymore because there were no more smallpox. 

Well, well, well what do we have here, some more misguided and slanted information from our favorite poster mepatriot whom I am sure has been vaccinated and had their children vaccinated as they are such fine patriots just trying to make some money regardless of who they hurt in the process.  Nothing to much worry about, politicians do it all the time, it just makes everyone more the  wiser to what end people will go to make a few bucks.

First let's get some stats we can lay up against your claims so when everyone's done evaluating all the information they can properly weight their options.  Before vaccinations in the United States roughly three to four million people came down with measles, of that three to four million people four to five hundred people died each year..remember that's just in the United States, there was another 48,000 hospitalizations and 4000 cases of encephalitis, that would be swelling of the brain from measles.  

Now I was going to actually do a blog on the measles and how our unvettered illegal immigration problem leads to a lot of our outbreaks.  But you know what...that little endeavor left my head spinning in circles, but knowing what I had come out of that idea knowing so did your article..so I guess you leave me with no choice.

First and foremost you have to understand measles.  If one ever looks into it it leaves you wondering if they called it the measles because you break out with multiple little red bumps or do they call it that because, unbeknownst to me and apparently you there are several strains of measles.  And guess what?...they come from all over the world.  Let me show you from some of the evidence that you have provided.

Yup, that's what those little buggers are called:  genotypes.  There are 24 such strains from what they call 8 clades and even more wild caught strains that stem from all those even.  Each type comes from a specific region of the world.  So what does all that mean?...well when you are up there screaming out info such as this:

..that doesn't mean that 73 were caused by some sequences in vaccines that means that 73 were confirmed as a known genotype used in vaccines to prevent measles and 121 of them were, to put it in simple language....relatives, also known as wildcaught, those ones that just keep popping up out of nowhere.  You know, like those relatives you haven't seen for years that pop up at Christmas.  That's what that whole article was trying to tell you, how very crucial it is when there's an outbreak to sequence every case to find where it's coming from and what they are dealing with.  Because also unbeknownst to most people the measles is like any other virus, it's just like coming down with the flu, though you may be immune from one strain you are not immune from another.  Though unlike the flu Measles is monotypic, meaning outside of wildcaught strains Measles stem from a single genus that vaccinated people are protected from.  What that means for some of the cases out in California is that a wildcaught strain produced the measles.  If I remember right it was a B3 genotype wildcaught virus.

This data is flawed.  The date is actually from 2003 to 2015.  The number of deaths is wrong also.  The US announced in the year 2000 it had eradicated measles from the US.  The confusions lays with confirmed versus suspected cases.  The last known confirmed death was in 2015, before that the last know confirmed death was in 2003.  In 2009 and 2010 there was two reported but not confirmed deaths in each of those years.  That means there was four suspected cases listed.  It wasn't until 2015 that another confirmed case arose, it wasn't until the woman's autopsy that they found she had died from  pneumonia caused by the measles, she was on several other medications and not in good health, she had a suppressed immune system.   The claim of no deaths between 2003 and 2015 is based on confirmed cases of where people died from having measles. Why?  Because you can't catch Measles, Mumps or Rubella during a time frame that the diseases were eradicated from the US.  From 2004 up until 2015 there were no deaths from any of those diseases.

The other 127 cases never happened.  That's because people who have an  anti vax agenda conveniently decided not to read the disclaimer on the VAERS, Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

VAERS was set up to track vaccine trends, millions of kids get vaccines and some do get sick and some may die but just because they die around the time they get a vaccine does not mean the vaccine caused their death.  If someone dies it doesn't stop them from reporting that person received a vaccine even when the death is totally unrelated to getting a vaccine.

Now lets talk a bit about China.  Just recently there was yet another report of bad vaccines in China, coupled with what transpired in the years surrounding 2010 no one could blame the citizens of China for not trusting the safety of vaccines anymore.  So much in fact most started traveling thousands of miles to get there children vaccinated.  Exactly what did happen in this latest flare up?  Seems they came across melamine in vaccines that treat people for rabies and it caused quite a few deaths.  For some reason China seems to have a rather high rate of rabies in that country, those shots aren't good for dog let alone man but hey I recall a few years ago that they found melamine in dog food that was being shipped to the US which ultimately led to the death of several dogs here.  Who in their right mind would allow China to feed their dog let alone give them a shot.  I know I always look for the made in the USA label before buying my dog food now.  Before that they tried and convicted some woman who had three hundred distributors  who they busted back in 2010 for selling bogus vaccines on the market.  It wasn't that if legit  vaccines would have worked, that wasn't involved in the equation, they weren't intent on selling a certified product to begin with.  
My motto is when it comes to life or death decisions China isn't fit for man nor beast.


When we get off talking about what happened at those colleges  we'd go back to talking genotypes, which we have covered fairly well above.  Considering it was in 1991, way before the eradication and global travel, mixed in with a high population of college students it's anyone's guess what strains came trotting along, it appears until these recent outbreaks amid an ever increasing shrinking world where people are bumping shoulders within hours of coming from another country that sequencing became an urgent matter.   There's a fairly decent explanation in all that, all those cases came before the outbreaks in California where sequencing and finding a way to quickly identify wildcaught strains came about.  

I think there's one other fairly notable item to mention, the person who wrote this article you based your post on is peddling his own assertions of what this data means, it quite evident in the fact that you get a free one hour take of his video if you want anymore of his misleading antidotes you have to pay for it.  Enough said.
