Sometimes I hate myself for being a woman. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t say I don’t like the fact of being a woman but there are some situations or moments that I wish I am not because of what comes with it and one of my least favourite thing about being a woman is menstruation period.

The menstruation period is one of the things that I am always scared of because it comes with a lot of pain for me and makes me uncomfortable sometimes I wonder what I did wrong mine always comes with a lot of pain because I know most girls that don’t even have any sort of pain during theirs and some just have some slight pain but I wonder why my own always come with severe pain.

 I remember how I almost felt like I was dying because of the pain I had last month during the menstrual flow I have to take injections and drugs to relieve the pain and guess what I was told? The nurse that attended to me said I should reduce the sugary things I take in when my menstruation period is close by so I have to watch what I eat and skip some drinks and snacks that I might have an interest in. Like is that fair? So I have to watch what I take before and during my menstrual flow and there are times I will feel like drinking Fanta drink during these times but I won’t be able to because I don’t want to start feeling pains after that and the best drink recommended for me during those periods is hot water.

Sometimes I wish I can be without having to think of going through menstruation period or wish something like that doesn’t exist because I hate putting on pads too or should I just say I prefer putting on only panties before wearing my clothes and don’t have to bother myself of wearing ladies tights or things that will make me uncomfortable but no there are times I have to go with nature and do what it’s meant to be done.

One of the things that come with being a woman is having to wear a bra and I will say I hate that because I am not a bra fan which means I don’t like wearing it and I always do when I have to go out alone like college classes or outside my room but if I happen to be in my room all day then I will have to stay braless and I will say those times of being at home without wearing a bra is always the best moment of my life because I am always comfortable.

With all this being said, I wish as a woman I can go on with my daily life without menstruation period, bra, and ladies' tights but too bad there is nothing to be done about what and it’s what that is meant to be.
