>**What is a compliment?**

A compliment is when you say nice things to people by saying you like their appearances, and their jobs or approve of what they have done.  You can compliment someone by saying things like “*you are kind*” ,“*I appreciate your kindness*”, “*you are beautiful*”.

>Getting compliments from people is the best feeling ever and it makes a person happy.

There was a time a friend of mine needs help with her school fees and she came to me for her. She said she did not have the complete fee and will be glad if I borrow her any amount to complete the money. Despite the fact I have my own needs and wants that I wanted to sort out with the money with me in college at that moment I give her some amounts of money to complete her fees because I can’t afford to see her have an extra year in college.

After I gave her the money with me to complete her college fee she was happy and said to me that my **“type is rare and I am the best friend anyone can ever ask for”.**There are also times I will share my snacks and food with her if she is in need of any and she always compliments me by saying I am a very kind person and my kindness is a balm to anyone that encounters me. Hearing all these sweet compliments gives me joy and being helpful to my friends or anyone around me has got me a lot of compliments. 


*“Wow you are one fine girl oooo*” this was a compliment I got from people that meet me for the first time or online friends I send my pictures to.  It’s always them complimenting my beauty and that always gives me goosebumps and makes me feel good of myself and I always thank them in return.

There was a time I help my siblings with their school assignments and when it’s the next day after their class teacher marked them and they got high scores they came to me and said “*I taught them well and they did good which means I am a brilliant person”😌*. It makes me happy that my effort did not go to waste and my siblings see the effort and appreciate it and that makes me proud of myself.

The greatest compliment I have ever received was from my dad when I went to a bible quiz competition in church and I came third position and got a prize.

 >*He says he is proud of me and I reacted by Smiling because the words touch me.*

Getting a compliment from your loved ones, friends, family, strangers or anyone is the best thing a person wants because there is always this kind of feeling of happiness and positive vibes that they feel.

Let’s spread love by complimenting one or two people around us every day. A simple “*you are beautiful*” and “ *you have a great smile*” can make a person's day.
