# Let's first read the *mainstream* History of Bitcoin

Ripple's Chief Technological Officer (CTO) David Schwartz, and one of the original architects of the likely World Reserve Currency XRP (#XRP589GonnaHappen), had filed a patent on August 25, 1988 and Granted the Patent on June 18, 1991 (aka 6/(6+6+6)/1991). The Patent was for a Distributed Computing System working in unison to complete a single task.
