## What is NLP?
NLP, or Neuro-Linguistic Programming, is a technique used to interact and change different aspects of our mind, specifically our behavior and other learned habits.

## What can NLP do for me?
NLP is an incredibly diverse skill. With practice you can learn to change almost any aspect of yourself. This includes eliminating unfavorable behaviors and promoting positive ones.
Some of the positive benefits of NLP include:

* **Increases Confidence**
* **Supports Balanced Mood**
* **Helps Eliminate Negative Habits**

## How do I get started?
Before starting any serious practice be sure to consult with your doctor. This stuff is serious and can have major impacts on your life. I am not a doctor and do not pretend to be one.

In addition to these books, there is a wealth of information on the subject. Try a quick google search or check out one of the many videos on youtube.

## Taking it to the next level
Once you have a general understanding of NLP, you may want to consider working with a professional coach. The right coach can help you navigate the otherwise unfamiliar mental space with ease and can allow you to make changes much more quickly than you would on your own. Consider it an investment in yourself. Make sure to do your due diligence. Your coach should reputable and have some kind of certification. Contact their previous clients and as always, trust your gut. The right coach should be focused on helping you succeed and achieve your goals.

## The Low-Down

NLP is a wonderful and powerful tool. Used properly it can lead to incredible positive changes that last. When beginning make sure to do your research as the mind is a complex and powerful system. If you ever feel like things are getting out of control, reach out to someone and ask for help. You do not want to end up in a mental hospital!
