The nice thing about baseball is the farm leagues. I enjoy a AAA or even single A game because it's still affordable for the family. Major league ball is too difficult due to our drive time. We end up spending the whole day to attend a game, and usually close to $500 for 4 people for less than great seats. I agree, talent follows money and other sports are taking talent away from baseball. And, the gap you point out between the richest team payroll and the lower teams is too large. It makes a small market unable to compete, and a constant loser is hard for fans to support.
