**WEEK 6: THE NAME OF JESUS IS THE AUTHORITY OF THE CHURCH**

**OBJECTIVE:**  To teach the children that they have authority over Satan in Jesus’ name

**CENTRAL LESSON**: The name of Jesus is our authority.

**APPLICATION TO THE BORN AGAIN CHILD**: If you have received Jesus in to your heart, trust in the authority in His name.

**APPLICATION TO THE SINNER CHILD**: The authority in the name of Jesus can save you, therefore receive Him into your life.

**INTRODUCTION:**
There were two bad boys in Mary’s class in school. These boys use to snatch their classmates lunch during break time. They will also warn them not to tell the teacher or do and face beat-up after school. One day, they wanted to forcefully take away Mary’s snacks, but she resisted them and the boys threatened to beat her up after school. Mary told them that she will tell her father who is an Inspector in Police to arrest them. The boys were scared and sneaked away after school. From that day the boys stopped snatching peoples’ snacks. They were afraid Mary would tell her father. 

**TEXT:** *Acts 3:1-11*
Peter and John went to the temple to pray. *
We access the power in the Name of Jesus when we pray*.
They met a crippled man who begged them for alms. 
*There are so many people looking for help everywhere.*
Peter instead prayed for him in the name of Jesus. 
*Be bold to use the Name of Jesus to pray for yourself and others.*
He immediately became well. *The Name of Jesus is full of power.*

**CONCLUSION:** The Name of Jesus can produce the same effect if you use it.

**INVITATION**: A sinner has no business using the name of Jesus. But whosoever calls upon the name of Jesus shall be save. Call the name now for your salvation.

**MEMORY VERSE**: *Mark 16: 17,18*
*“And these signs accompany those who believe: in my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues…they will place their hands on the sick people, and they will get well.”*
