  # <center>*Nostalgic Dreams β’ Even if My Hair Turns White*</center> Old photos are fascinating as they have so many stories to tell. You probably still have some old photos from the past that belonged to your grandparents hidden away. As time passes photos age, the colors change, unprotected photos are sometimes scratched, folded and fade away. Lately, I have been fascinated with vintage photos, maybe it is because of the old mansion that we visited previously. My aunt does not have a lot of old photos from my grandparents and some of them are already too faded. This fascination gave me an idea to try and showcase vintage photos. #### Nostalgic Dreams A new series that I have planned on doing. Since it is impossible to acquire owned family photos, I figured that I try and replicate old photos from the past. A reimagining of some of my previous and future works, artificially turning back the clock and hoping I could give that same nostalgic vibe. To make the timeline more convincing the theme should also be similar to the past. No present-day evidence should be included in the photos but with my current resources that seems to be impossible.  In this episode, I used my previous work from 2020. The pre-wedding photoshoot that I did for my brother-in-law. This theme is perfect for my series as the setting is in the province. There are no modern buildings, vehicles, or houses, just trees, rice fields and nature. The original photos can be found here from my old watersnake101 account which I lost access to. I made a pre-wedding video and used a song called, "Kahit Pumuti na ang Buhok ko (Even if My Hair Turns White) as a background song. The song is about growing old with the love of your life. With the question in mind if their love will still be the same if the time comes. When that time comes he will relive the past to remind her of the promise of the love that will always remain. Perfect song to represent my nostalgic representation.  Since the photos are all digital and I am not sure if the couple had them printed out. Their photos will never fade in time, this is the only way to see a vintage version of the present day.  I am a beginner when it comes to photo editing with photoshop and I do not usually edit my photos. I often just use my photos straight from the camera. It was a bit challenging for me to do this project and I had to do some research to age these photos. The photos were converted to monochrome first then dust, scratches and texture were added.    The tones were manually adjusted and were very hard for me. A minor adjustment with the channel mixer completely turns the shade into something different. I just looked up some old photos and tried to replicate the shade as much as I could.  The stains on the photos are a great addition. I'm not sure what creates the stain on physical photos, maybe liquid spilled or mold. I saw a few of my aunt's old photos had these kinds of yellowish satin even on the colored photos.  The scratches and speck marks are also a nice addition to that vintage vibe. Just a few marks would be nice you would not want to overdo it. I tried adding a lot but ended up redoing it again. These imperfections sometimes add beauty to the photos in my opinion.   I may do a photoshoot specifically for this series and will try to find old props, although clothing maybe difficult to acquire without spending.   This ends the premiere for this series and I am not sure if anyone would even like it. I would like to hear from you and what are your thoughts about the work I have done with these photos.
