as you said plan B is must in that situation
i can still remember when hand made carpets were replaced by automated carpet industry
here,some people really suffered while others used that as an opportunity 
that is why additional skills are neccessary as you said

i'd rather be proactive than being reactive, wake up! the world is constantly changing, without change we wont survive.

I think the problem is that people believe that robots will eventually replace all jobs and humans with nothing as a source of income. BUT I think AI intelligence will get to the point where they can run a business for us.

nice post, i feel its time society evolved, and broke out of the same routine thats been slowly breaking more each year. there of course would be questions like maintenance and having something built properly again. which might have jobs lined up again for inspectors to check.

If you take look at the sales talk about robotics process automation, the idea behind it is first place is to prevent human employees from doing brain killing repetitive task, which could be done by virtual employees (aka robots), freeing time so that the human can perform more creative task.
Great pitch! But we all know that the employers will only invest if the business profits from it!

It's the guy who owns the robot that profits. Not everybody. Same old story.

I agree with you on the points that you have raised.

I like this point,

Even if technology doesn't replace you on your job, the best thing to do in this century and in the century to come is to use knowledge to your advantage. It is important to upgrade your knowledge  everyday.

Knowledge gets outdated so fast now that you can't afford to not keep up with the changing world.

Education is key in this scenario. Of course, people will (have to) start looking for other jobs with higher wages, but these usually require better education. 

This may not seem like a big problem for young people, but it will become one for older people. If you have a family to take care of, quitting your job and putting your existence at risk to improve your education is usually not an option.

Hopefully, this transition will go smooth and governments can come up with a proper solution to not ruin people's lives.

This constant growth and change is no stranger to humanity.  It's sad because people don't really study history anymore to realize that these changes are good and benefit our society as a whole.  Did the industrial revolution kill jobs in this country? Sure but it pushed us forward as a civilization.  This upcoming automation movement is no different, and with the right mindset, as you pointed out, we will thrive and succeed as we always do.  It just takes a winning mindset.

Technology benefits us It does not hurt us

Yeah i agree with you. Investing is important and we need to invest and educate ourself beside our job.

Technology is now sophisticated and easy to use technology

I don't know why this perspective isn't considered more often but really any job that could be completely replaced by our frankly pretty primitive AI right now more than likely isn't a particularly fulfilling one nor offering of much career advancement. There is an ethical question about forcing people into those jobs with little time and resources to move up as well.

 Sure, there may be a problem with how those who lose their jobs will be retrained and reeducated into more sustainable careers, hopefully companies and government step up and provide paid training. The net gain is quite high at the end of the day if this sort of gradual transition period is handled gracefully....I don't harbor any tribulations about the bar being raised so long as there is still opportunity afforded for displaced workers.

Yes I totally agree with your opinion that robot will help us. We can get enormous benefits from the robots. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
