The year is coming to an end, and perhaps it's the ideal time to reflect on some of the things that have happened during this period. Each of us has our own retrospective of events. Some of the things that have happened can mark us for life, others go unnoticed. The important thing is that we have reached the end of the year strong and ready to face another 365 days.

In this past year, some things will mark my life. I think that every year something leaves a mark on us, and we always hope it's something good. I can't complain about anything this year. It's been wonderful, full of happy and memorable moments that I'm unlikely to forget, even if my memory isn't so good! Well, this year I started university, and that was very important for me. I still have three years of studies to go, but it was here, in 2024, that I began a new career path.

This was significant for me, because it's my mother's dream to see me graduate. I confess that going to university was never in my plans before. I always looked at other paths and thought that it wasn't necessary to have a degree in a profession in order to be successful. That's not to say that I didn't study, yes, I did study for other purposes. However, having a degree wasn't what I wanted until an opportunity arose. After taking a test, I got a 100% scholarship. So there was the chance, and why not take it? I'm sure that's something I'll remember all my life. There's no forgetting the path that takes you to your destination.

Another important event that I certainly won't forget was my son's birthday. Every year, until then, we bought a cake, some decorations and called some of his closest friends. Not that that wasn't nice, but this year I organized an incredible party in a very nice place, with a swimming pool, play area, etc., and invited several of his friends. The party lasted the whole weekend and I've never seen my son so happy. His happiness will never leave my memory and it was certainly something incredible and perhaps the best thing that happened that year, seeing my son happy surpasses anything.

Another highlight of my year was starting work at a new company. It may seem a bit irrelevant, but perhaps this challenge, after a few years in my comfort zone, will leave its mark. It's a good place and a big challenge for me, but I'm sure it will be a good choice. In this company, I'm developing skills that were previously dormant, making new friends and seeing things from a different angle. I'm sure I'll reap good rewards from there.

Well, my year has had a lot of other nice things happen. Perhaps nothing that will impress people when they read this, but which, inside me, leave happy memories. The most important thing is to look back and realize that 2024 was a very positive year. I can only be grateful to God for allowing these things to happen in my life. I feel blessed and I hope that things like this will happen again next year. 2025 is coming up and I hope that, by the end of next year, I'll be telling you more of the good stories that happened during it and I hope you'll be able to read yours too!

O ano está chegando ao fim, e talvez seja o momento ideal para refletir sobre algumas coisas que aconteceram durante este período. Cada um de nós possui sua própria retrospectiva dos acontecimentos. Algumas coisas que ocorreram podem nos marcar por toda a vida, outras passam despercebidas. O importante é que chegamos a mais um final de ano firmes e prontos para encarar mais 365 dias.

Neste ano que se passou, algumas coisas vão marcar minha vida. Acho que, a cada ano que passa, algo nos deixa uma marca, e sempre esperamos que seja algo bom. Este ano, não posso reclamar de nada. Foi maravilhoso, cheio de momentos felizes e marcantes, que dificilmente vou esquecer, mesmo eu tendo uma memória não tão boa! Bem, este ano iniciei minha faculdade, e isso foi algo muito importante para mim. Ainda faltam três anos de estudos, mas foi aqui, em 2024, que dei início a um novo caminho profissional.

Isso foi significativo para mim, pois é o sonho da minha mãe me ver formado. Confesso que fazer faculdade nunca esteve nos meus planos antigamente. Sempre olhei para outros caminhos e achava que não era necessário ser formado em uma profissão para ter sucesso. Isso não quer dizer que eu não estudava, sim, eu estudava para outros propósitos. No entanto, ter um diploma não era o que eu almejava até surgir uma oportunidade. Após fazer uma prova, consegui uma bolsa de 100%. Então, ali estava a chance, e por que não agarrá-la? Com certeza, isso é algo que vou lembrar por toda a vida. Não tem como esquecer o percurso que te leva até o destino.

Outro fato importante, que com certeza não vou esquecer, foi o aniversário do meu filho. Todos os anos, até então, comprávamos um bolo, alguns enfeites e chamávamos alguns amigos mais próximos dele. Não que isso não fosse legal, mas, este ano, organizei uma festa incrível em um lugar muito bom, com piscina, área para brincadeiras, etc., e convidei vários amigos dele. A festa durou o fim de semana inteiro, e nunca vi meu filho tão feliz. Essa felicidade dele nunca sairá da minha memória e com certeza foi algo incrível e talvez a melhor coisa que aconteceu nesse ano, ver meu filho feliz supera qualquer coisa.

Outro ponto que marcou meu ano foi ter começado a trabalhar em uma nova empresa. Pode parecer algo um pouco irrelevante, mas, talvez, esse desafio, depois de alguns anos na minha zona de conforto,  deixe suas marcas. É um bom lugar e um desafio bem grande para mim, mas tenho certeza de que será uma boa escolha. Nesta empresa, estou desenvolvendo habilidades que antes estavam adormecidas, fazendo novas amizades e vendo as coisas por um ângulo diferente. Tenho certeza de que colherei bons frutos dali.

Bem, meu ano teve muitas outras coisas legais que aconteceram. Talvez nada que impressione as pessoas ao lerem isso, mas que, dentro de mim, deixam memórias felizes. O mais importante é olhar para trás e perceber que 2024 foi um ano muito positivo. Só posso ser grato a Deus por permitir que essas coisas acontecessem na minha vida. Sinto-me abençoado e espero que coisas assim se repitam no próximo ano. 2025 está chegando, e espero que, no final do próximo ano, eu esteja contando mais histórias boas que aconteceram ao longo dele e espero poder a ler as suas também!
