All About Photoshop Brushes! + Timelapse Painting Demo

This video ended up being harder to make than I originally planned for. I made the bulk of it twice because my capture software crapped out towards the beginning and I didn't catch on for like 20 minutes. Anyway it got done, yaaay! :)

# So  this marks my first tutorial made exclusively for DTube.
I'm trying to unravel things slowly to not mystify people that might not be as familiar with painting in Photoshop.

So in this first installment I'll be talking about Photoshop brushes. How they work, how to create them and what they can do.

It's an interesting conversation among artists around Photoshop brushes. Some people like to keep it really simple to maintain a lot of deliberate control in their strokes and some people like to introduce a ton of randomness to fish for the oh so coveted "happy accident". I think I'm somewhere in-between where I definitely like to embrace the full power of the tools, but I'm always trying to balance that by modifying the repetitive nature of digital with deliberate strokes.

Let me know what you guys think of the video in the comments. This ran pretty long and I'm curious if people would prefer smaller chunks like maybe 5-10 minutes, or if you don't mind this longer format, or if you enjoy demos more, whatever, let me know. I know I definitely enjoy watching peoples process which is why I made sure to throw a demo in here even if it is a really quick and rough one.
