Many of you will remember on September 11, 2012 U.S. Diplomatic Compounds in Benghazi were attacked in an organized terrorist attack resulting in American lives being lost.  During the attack, no American military support was provided for those in the Diplomatic Compound.  For a couple of weeks after the attack, the Obama administration characterized the terrorist attack as a spontaneous demonstration that got out of hand.  For months after the attack, rumors of an ordered stand down being issued to the military circulated implying that no military assistance was received because it was prevented by someone in the Obama administration.

The Obama administration repeatedly denied the allegation of a stand down order but evidence shows it did exist.  The article [Diplomat: U.S. Special Forces told "you can't go" to Benghazi during attacks](https://www.cbsnews.com/news/diplomat-us-special-forces-told-you-cant-go-to-benghazi-during-attacks/) from CBS News indicates forces were on the way to get in vehicles to go to the airport to fly to Benghazi when they were told they couldn't go because they didn't have authorization to go.  In my mind there is little difference between not giving authorization and being told to "Stand down", especially when fellow Americans are under attack.

The most telling evidence comes from interviews with former FBI Agent Robyn Gritz, a 16 year FBI veteran.  Ms. Gritz interviews detail the situation during the Benghazi attacks in which she was putting together a FEST (Foreign Emergency Support Team)  when she was told by Andrew McCabe to stand down.  McCabe told Ms. Gritz, and the rest of the room, there would be no FEST that the FBI was under a stand down order that have been approved by the Director of the FBI, Robert Mueller.  The FBI is a department of the Department of Justice with leadership in the White House, the Obama White House then included Hillary Clinton.  While the FEST team is a support team and not military support team and may not have saved any lives, but it couldn't have hurt.

Ms. Gritz was subsequently drummed out of the FBI and filed in 2013 filed a sexual discrimination complaint with the EEOC.  One of her supporters included then Head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Michael Flynn.  Since then, the EEOC complaint filed by Ms. Gritz has been buried by the FBI and Mr. Flynn has been fired as a result of investigations by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the FBI led by James Comey.  One might conclude it doesn't pay to cross these people.
