Steemit is by INVITE ONLY now!

<p>Wow! My girlfriend has been trying to join steemit for two days and has not been successful, bummer. Yesterday she got a message about high demand but today that message has changed to say that steemit is INVITE ONLY for the time being.&nbsp;</p>
<p>She's feeling left out and I'm sure many others are as well. I think this will be remediated sooner than later. I attribute part of this to the Ethereum hard fork. I believe many people will transfer their ethereum directly here once they can do that .&nbsp;</p>
<p>So there are growing pains but they are the good kind. This platform will grow and evolve quickly. A huge amount of liquidity is about to arrive here. I know I'm ready, hopefully my girlfriend can join us soon!</p>
