What to do with boring images? Make them black and white!

Today I went outlet shopping with my wife in Maine. It was forecasted to rain but the weather held up - that is until we got to the Nubble Light Lighthouse. 

The color version of this image was very boring to look at since there were barley any clouds in the sky and it lacked contrast. So what's one to do when images look boring? The answer is edit the photo in black and white to add drama...
