It probably happens all over the world, but I’ve seen a lot of it while I’ve been in east Asia. The rules of rock-stacking are simple:

1) Each rock you stack grants one wish.
2) The bottom rock does not count; your wishes start counting on rock #2.
3) The higher the rock, the more powerful it is toward granting your wishes (the 7th rock’s wish is more likely to come true than the 3rd rock’s).
4) If any rock falls down, the whole stack is invalidated and there is no power granted toward any wish, even if some of the rocks are still standing.
