Is the Pentium G3258 The Best OVERCLOCKING Intel Single Core Processor Chip You Can Get?

# I'd say a big fat YES! OK so we all know the Intel i7-4790K is a faster single core overall, but its price makes our Pentium a lot more fun to overclock with!

When overclocked to 4.8Ghz, the Pentium G3258 is one of the fastest single threaded Intel cores that money can buy. The i7-4790K may have more L3 cache at 8MB, but who cares about that right?

Even when overclocked to 4.4GHz, I found even the Athlon X4 750K can't match the single-threaded performance of my Pentium wonder chip! Jesus!

Overall an overclocked G3258 looks to be a truly outstanding gaming CPU—not only for those on a budget, but also compared to more expensive CPUs on a like for like speed basis. 

It's truly a BARGAIN! So go grab one today - you won't regret it.

I like this processor as the die size is still pretty large. I'm not a fan of the smaller chips, as they overheat too much!
