I'd like to see contracts moved as something supported on the steem blockchain as well.    Though @dantheman posted about his new project EOS too and that certainly might shake things up.

Interesting blog.  Same mindset here. I disagree with this statement entirely. ETH blocktimes are not slow at all ~15s. I am not sure what sorts of lag you are talking about but I send dozens of transactions every day and I would have conformations within a minute. Just because Ethereum is a platform does not mean it is inherently inefficient.

What exactly are these daily attacks by these rogue hackers? Ethereum transfers are the same as Bitcoin, no one is hacking the blockchain.

The Ethereum protocol is extremely well documented. Not sure when you were trying to start developing but mainnet only launched in mid 2015. If you are interested in smart contracts, read the docs on Solidity: [Here](https://solidity.readthedocs.io/en/develop/). That page contains links to just loads of documentation. There is no live, mainnet blockchain with more active development than Ethereum today.
