How often does this happen in life? I don't mean to stumble upon things or individuals. But to run into something that will eventually widen the way one used to think regarding economy, banks, debt and all those _problems_ that make people suffer all over the world and which decentralized projects like Steem _promise_ to solve when this whole thing goes mainstream. _Really rare..._ That's why I became a Steem addict to be honest with you all. Because first and foremost I was educated in this place. I was educated by reading various blogs that extensively explained how does this blockchain work, what are the benefits of decentralization...what exactly **is** the so called decentralization and why people should focus on spreading the word out. I knew nothing about crypto until that very moment. I wish I knew what BTC was back in 2010 /11/12/13/17 but I didn't..._ I was invested in so many things till my arrival in Steem...but nothing even close to crypto. Missed opportunity? Of course...I can't help but wonder how would my life be if I was invested in BTC not seven or eight years ago, but 3...I would be writing these lines while drinking cocktails and not worrying about my financial status for the rest of my life from some exotic paradise...probably, instead of doing the exact same thing but after 12 hours of work while living/working in a city where everything is done in such a rush, surrounded by cement...That's the definition of **_suffocation..._** _People aren't supposed to work that hard to make a living..._ ...but it is what it is, and I am doing everything in my power to change that and live the life I've dreamt of ever since I was a kid, -nothing fancy such as luxury apartments and expensive cars- but to be able to travel a lot, to see the world and meet new people and cultures without worrying that much and live paycheck to paycheck. Is that too much to ask? Hmm...I guess since 90%+ of the world population is going through the same shit like myself, I guess it could be...But hey...unless you chase your dream don't expect much to change... _And when I finally realized that..._ ...the possibilities with Steem are endless, deep inside me I knew from the very first moment that if there is one place, one way, that could reverse things and **our** current status, it will be trough crypto and more precisely through Steem. Make no mistake, Steem has all the ingredients to be the next big thing. You know it, I know it...everyone involved know it...it's just that the 99.9999999% of the world don't know it. That's why we need a massive campaign to promote Steem. There are some individuals like @stephenkendal who are doing extremely big efforts to promote steem via other Social media networks and I am sure each and everyone of you is doing their part, either by spreading the word to friends, family members colleagues and so on...but in my humble opinion we need something massive. An organized attempt maybe even funded by the SPS. We can't really expect people to keep finding out about Steem...by "accident". It just ain't gonna happen... _In the meantime..._ Everyone is patiently waiting for the SMT's to launch. That would be awesome actually, along with all the coming changes aka communities. Others are experimenting with the free downvotes...At the end of the day we all have something in common. And that is to see Steem thrive, since we are all invested in Steem. Can you imagine Steem at 10$ ? No? I can. I was a newcomer when it hit 8$ and trust me it was great...I am sure that those who invested in BTC a few years back didn't expect it to climb up to 20K $...but it did...Now dream big and imagine Steem at 50$....we have a long way to go, but it will worth every damn second you spent around here when the price was 0.13 cents... >I wish I knew what BTC was back in 2010 /11/12/13/17 but I didn't... I knew about it, in the 11/12 time period and told myself I need to buy $500 worth of this...I didnt. So knowing about it and taking advantage of the opportunity are two different things. I did buy BTC before the major run up in 2017 so I am still in the green in spite of the major pullback (followed by the run up). STEEM does offer the same potential. Will we see $20? $30? Who knows? But 14 cent steem is like $50 BTC....a serious opportunity.
