Thanks for your honesty and comfort @barge. You are always welcome aboard. The poem is esoteric to those like you who have been on a boat and to those who watch too much SpongeBob. Also the 1950s comic strip "Jughead" who is giving a "jib" or chugging a "jug".

The general post itself was intended as an ESL lesson instructing that "comes from" doesn't always mean physical location but can be a figure of speech "idiom". 

It all started with misunderstanding. When I dig deeper I find life lessons here. First in Chinese or languages that use Chinese numbers:
"5 Hay" sounds like misunderstanding.
If you take away 3 of those you get "2 Hay" which is understanding. The Chinese word for understanding sounds like "2 Hay."

The rest of the poem talks about life direction. We are so confident we know where we are going so that when we are warned of danger we do not turn away but continue in our path.

Finally we come face to face with our monster. In the cartoon this giant Krabby patty monster is nothing but a hallucination that takes over the subconscious. The captain is defeated.

I don't think my explanation will help much but may confuse you more. Thanks for trying to understand.

It is basically the light house story. We say "full steem ahead" but we are all proud. When we meet our limits we keep pressing on. It is the danger of human beings who do not know where we came from or where we are going. The monster in the poem is the "supernatural" that we do not understand. The  "universe" that directs us but in our pride we do not change course.

Thanks @debralee. I have been outside all day with my kids and now I'm totally exhausted. I have been tinkering with my blog for months and I finally think this is the style that is most suitable for me. 

Each day I write a simple situation in plain English and then write a poem at the bottom that only a native speaker can catch. I will post once a day for a while and may increase later.

I looked at your blog amigo. I think you should consider writing things you experience every day. It will do better on Steemit to write something original. If you like to learn then this is lesson one.

I'm dedicating tomorrow's post to tasty spam. Some beautiful people supported this post. This @exxodus dude did not upvote even one cent. So what happens next. I will give him a request to make a nice comment and visit his blog. If it is a bunch of resteems then he is getting a warning. If he dosen't send something besides spam then I guess I have to flag him and my voting power is dragging for some reason. 

I like to write about Spongebob in my poems every once and a while just to see if anyone is paying attention.

I totally get where you are coming from. I live in a one bedroom w my wife and 2 kids so it's good to hear you have your own room. Welcome @zoh. I put a short verse at the bottom bc if I don't have anything good today then at least I have a good book to reference.
