At least CNN seems to have practiced restraint in speculating about any political motivations of the asshole who is suspected to have committed the shooting yesterday. It would have been easy for the corporate media to point to the images that the douche had on social media of him attending Trump rallies and wearing a Trump flag and attribute the shooting to a MAGA hat wearing nut. The thing is, some people have done their due diligence. I mean, if you look at just about anybody's list of people they follow, you're gonna see a lot of people following stuff that you don't like, or even outright disagree with. But they probably also follow stuff that you do agree with. This manic follows literally no Republicans nor right-wing figures on social media and all of his Twitter likes have gone to anti-Trump posts and posts calling to put all of the January 6th participants in prison. Namely, finally, some of the corporate media managed to practice enough restraint to realize that they didn't know something for sure.
