## Mi primer día de las Madres / My first Mother's Day

Cuando celebré por primera vez este día tan especial, Miguel mi hijo mayor tenía apenas 2 meses y yo con tantas ilusiones y al mismo tiempo tantos miedos como primeriza.

Hasta ese momento se dividía nuestro día de celebración en pasar un rato con mi mamá y otro con mi suegra, y en esa oportunidad fue la primera vez que organizamos la reunión familiar en mi casa, y estuvimos todos juntos en el mismo lugar, lo cual fue muy hermoso, ya que no solo estaban presentes nuestras madres, sino también mi hermana que vive en otra ciudad se vino a festejar con nosotros (supongo que es uno de los privilegios que tenemos las mamás primerizas y recién dadas a Luz).

When I celebrated this special day for the first time, Miguel, my oldest son, was only 2 months old and I had so many illusions and at the same time so many fears as a first-timer.

Until that moment our celebration day was divided into spending some time with my mom and some time with my mother-in-law, and this was the first time we organized the family reunion at my house, and we were all together in the same place, which was very beautiful, since not only our mothers were present, but also my sister who lives in another city came to celebrate with us (I guess it's one of the privileges that we new moms have).

Su papá tuvo la ocurrencia de hacer una tarjeta y tomarle una foto que quedó marcada para siempre en mis recuerdos, por toda la ternura y emoción que representó ese momento para mí. De hecho aún conservo esa tarjeta en el baúl de los recuerdos de los niños. 

Si algún deseo tenía en mi vida era el de ser madre, pero jamás imaginé la alegría que eso representaría para mí y el nivel de amor que sentiría en ese rol tan importante de mi existencia, creo que no existen palabras para describirlo.

Her dad had the idea of making a card and taking a picture of him that will remain forever in my memories, because of all the tenderness and emotion that this moment represented for me. In fact, I still keep that card in the trunk of my children's memories. 

If I had any desire in my life it was to be a mother, but I never imagined the joy that this would represent for me and the level of love that I would feel in that important role of my existence, I think there are no words to describe it.

Aun cuando no era mamá primeriza cuando nació Gael, mi segundo hijo, la celebración de ese Día de las Madres fue también como la primera, en el sentido de que aún estaba esa emoción fresca de haber tenido la dicha de recibir a mi bebé entre los brazos pocos meses antes. Gael apenas tenía 5 meses cuando celebré mi primer día de las Madres con él.

Even though I was not a first-time mom when Gael, my second son, was born, that Mother's Day celebration was also like my first, in the sense that there was still that fresh emotion of having had the joy of receiving my baby in my arms a few months earlier. Gael was barely 5 months old when I celebrated my first Mother's Day with him.

Siento que el Día de las Madres es todos los días, desde el momento en que los tenemos en brazos por vez primera hasta el último respiro e incluso más allá de esta existencia, por eso siempre es un excelente momento para celebrarlo, para reconocer a nuestras madres, demostrarles nuestro amor y agradecimiento, aún cuando en este día se haga un mayor énfasis, no dejo de darle gracias a Dios por mi hermosa madre y también por haberme bendecido con dos hijos maravillosos que me alegran la vida todos los días y son mi mayor amor y tesoro. 

Cada momento vivido, verlos a los ojos y eternizar cada instante compartido es una experiencia inigualable. Evolucionar con y a través de ellos es una experiencia que me colma de muchas satisfacciones y aprendizajes.

I feel that Mother's Day is every day, from the moment we hold them in our arms for the first time until the last breath and even beyond this existence, so it is always an excellent time to celebrate, to recognize our mothers, to show them our love and gratitude, even when on this day a greater emphasis is made, I do not stop thanking God for my beautiful mother and also for having blessed me with two wonderful children who brighten my life every day and are my greatest love and treasure. 

Every moment lived, seeing them in my eyes and eternalizing every moment shared is an incomparable experience. Evolving with and through them is an experience that fills me with much satisfaction and learning.
