Hello Community!

This is my first post in here! Let me just say that I'm THRILLED to find this community since I'm a BIG craft addict.

I'm into crafts for about 10 years and I still love it! I think it's almost like a lifestyle.

Being creative is a gift! I did so many I can't count them all.

And I've already done many crafts with my baby boy (he's almost three) because I'm trying to grow his creativity, to learn and make him appreciate handmade work. Now is the time! Start the sooner you can to cultivate their art skills, imagination and creativity.

**In this post, I'll share with you our DIY Christmas Balls.**

This is what you need:
- acrylic paint
- white gloss paper/cardboard (or some shinny paper)
- glitter gel (or glitter powder & glue)
- ribbon band (silver/gold best) 
- thread
- glue (we used two sided adhesive tape)

PAINTING is the first thing we did. Just let your kids put their fingers in paint and have fun. Same for you. Get creative! Mix colors! Do what you like, is all about having a good time. 

We used acrylic paint because it's the best. But I think water colors will do too. Or maybe carioca or even pencils?
Feel free to try with whatever have in hand.

Next step is to apply glitter on these beauties. 

I love to use glitter gel because it already contains glue. But if you have only powder glitter that's fine. Apply a bit of glue and then the glitter powder. 

After the glitter have dried, you can apply the ribbon and the 'hanger' made of thread on top . Use whatever glue you have. We used two sided adhesive tape.

My boy was so happy about this activity! I imagine the older kids would be so proud of themselves, to make these Christmas Crafts for their Christmas Tree! They can do this art work alone, from the beginning to the end.🎄🎄

As I mentioned, I did these crafts together with my toddler but this lovely Christmas balls can be made by anyone, no matter their age. 

As a mom, I choose to spend my time with my baby boy and prepare crafts that we both can work on them. 

What about you? Are you making crafts together with the kids? Do you enjoy it? I know sometimes can get hard and messy, even frustrating, but kids are just kids. I personally LOVE to do crafts and handmade stuff together with my 3 yrs old.
