# Splinterlands is ranked the worlds most used Dapp!

This is really a  proud moment for every Splinterlands player and I'm so proud to be a Splinterlands ambassador and by ambassador, I mean player, gamer, blogger, representative, shiller, fan, enthusiast, the modes of attachment goes on, I'm just glad that this is one project I've committed to since it was birthed and its amazing to see that it is now the worlds most used dapp according to [Dapp radar](dappradar.com).

This is a really good news for Crypto and blockchain gaming in general, on a less technical level, it showcases the advantages of building on a fast and feeless technology that can scale én masse and without a doubt this has clearly positively impacted the user experience in terms of speed and cost of transactions within the game, clearly this has contributed in making it  get the ranking it's got today. 

On the other hand, this is however an unfortunate news for Steem ecosystem as Splinterlands will be moving over to Hive Blockchain as soon as possible [as announced in the Splinterlands  blog today](https://hive.blog/splinterlands/@splinterlands/important-splinterlands-update).

How did Steem get here? [Without delving into the entire story](https://hive.blog/steemshit/@therealwolf/steem-rogue-hardfork-will-steal-and-delete-private-property), in summary, Justin Sun keeps exceeding his boundaries, legally, technically and ethically, only that this time, he may have bitten off more than he can chew and this has resulted in the migration of the worlds most used Dapp and most valuable Dapp on Steem over to a more conducive ecosystem where businesses can technically thrive and people's assets won't be maliciously frozen by one central entity. 

*Sometimes I wonder if Steem could ever recover from its harsh reality, not only has it lost majority of its community but also its best employees/developers and now the top Dapp it has running on it.*

### This is a good thing for Hive, there's no better PR service that can be paid for than being the best suited infrastructure to be powering the most used Dapp in the world.

There have been rumours though that the Koreans which contribute a huge amount to the number of Splinterlands players have vouched to leave the game once it migrates to Hive, I hope this only stays a rumour, not for the sake of the Game but for the sake of those players because they will be letting personal prejudice cloud their objective judgement which will lead them to missing out of this technological revolution and pace-setting. 

This move is beyond any personal sentiment, centralization will continue to be a threat to the sanctity of private property and data ownership as we can already see happening even on Steem. Whereas HIVE continues to position itself as the ideal ecosystem for Web 3.0 and the epitome of the movement of decentralization. It is interesting to watch all these unravel, I remain bullish on the tech and community Hive, if it ain't glaring to you that its only a matter of time before Hive is recognized for what it is truly capable of, it is to me.
