A lot of people are looking at the charts today but everyone is seeing different things, if you would ask me though, to be honest I see a bear market inside a bull run, maybe it’s because I’m a permabull and quite rightly so, it’s hard to not be permanently bullish on a technology that has only a fraction of the worlds population using it. ## Most are looking, but only few see Imagine not knowing that the internet was going to be the backbone of every advanced economy in the world and failing to strategically position oneself to take advantage of being early..., ugly right? Well, it happened, not everyone embraced the internet early, rate of adoption grew over time, but for those that got around it early, they surely reaped the benefits. While writing this post, I decided to check out some information about the internet in its early days and I came about some very interesting stuff.... ## The internet? bah! ....Especially the excerpts from [Clifford Stoll](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clifford_Stoll) a renowned Engineer and astronomer. He wrote the following in 1995 that have today become aberrations. >After two decades online, I'm perplexed. It's not that I haven't had a gas of a good time on the Internet. I've met great people and even caught a hacker or two. But today, I'm uneasy about this most trendy and oversold community. Visionaries see a future of telecommuting workers, interactive libraries and multimedia classrooms. They speak of electronic town meetings and virtual communities. Commerce and business will shift from offices and malls to networks and modems. And the freedom of digital networks will make government more democratic. Baloney. *For the record, Baloney means - foolish or nonsense talk*....*lol* > Do our computer pundits lack all common sense? The truth is no online database will replace your daily newspaper, no CD-ROM can take the place of a competent teacher and no computer network will change the way government works. > Then there's cyberbusiness. We're promised instant catalog shopping—just point and click for great deals. We'll order airline tickets over the network, make restaurant reservations and negotiate sales contracts. Stores will become obselete. So how come my local mall does more business in an afternoon than the entire Internet handles in a month? Even if there were a trustworthy way to send money over the Internet—which there isn't—the network is missing a most essential ingredient of capitalism: salespeople. ## 25 Years later Well, it’s 25 years later, look at where we are. A world without the internet has become Baloney, in fact the world has moved past establishing the internet as modus operandi, we’ve moved past becoming everything that has been said to be foolish talk. Now we are 10years into another evolution borne of the internet, the blockchain and some people are being “Cliff Stoll” all over again. It’s funny isn’t it. ![11313D56-49E4-4560-872C-FDC3B3EBF169.jpeg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmPEJPxdby9grEhuykof8YgSVTMtpXLN3rzB2M9e5JKE1n/11313D56-49E4-4560-872C-FDC3B3EBF169.jpeg) Bitcoin broke $30k to the downside today and some people have started to claim that Bitcoin is dead for the upteenth time, who can blame them, many are looking, but only few see. The entire crypto market screams of accumulation, sadly there are hardly any easy ways to accumulate them other than to buy and now they’re at a discount, but people are complaining or sad or whatever. I wish I had a wad of cash to add to my positions, I’m just super thankful that Hive gives people the opportunity to earn it and grow a position in the future of decentralized media. There’s nothing like Hive out there, just like those who discovered the internet early had a lot to benefit from it, it’ll be the same for those who are active on Hive and it’s other derivatives, Bitcoin and other legit crypto projects early. ![80F5DC83-8565-4E31-B81F-3DEBF840F389.jpeg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmYArcWPseXZ3KGPza4CufuUYkcMBaKk6QSXeCDRhyTJJP/80F5DC83-8565-4E31-B81F-3DEBF840F389.jpeg) Seeing all of these and looking at where we are coming from, how do I not be a permabull? But like I said, most are looking, but only a few see. Thanks for reading. > It is amazing how forecasts from the past could be so wrong. Makes you wonder what we think today that we will be way off on. Truly! Who knows! right now all we have to bet on are fundamentals and from where we stand, it’s seems strong. These projects are not going away, they can only get better.
