TWO POEMS FOR FOOLS LIKE ME

There is no doubt now
After a lifetime of doubting,
There is purpose and meaning
In the Oneness of the Universe.

I do not know why I set up chairs
Instead of being a great conductor
In the Universal Orchestra.
I do not think it matters.

That I have been chosen to be
On the fools path
Has been a blessing,
For what I had to learn
Could only be taught one
With calloused knees.

I have wandered and stumbled
Down many paths
Groping in the dark,
And now know
I could not have found myself
Without first being lost.

I am reluctant to suggest this path
To another
For it is not an easy Way,
But that makes no matter...
For it seems God chooses
How we will be played
And what airs will be blown
Through each of us
In the Grand Symphony of all things.

wow. beautiful. I love word swap from universal orchestra to grand symphony of all things. Both poems are very good! Lost speaks to me more but perhaps thats because I've taken that fool's path as well lol

thanks for the well thought out reply. Not many do that. Oh yes, I am the fool. There have been many times I wished it were otherwise, but no... seems to be my lot. I resonate with the monks life to a large degree, and believe I have lived other lifetimes as a monk, priest, and even once as an Abbot. Many blessings.

For me it really is the truth. It's a fine dance between destiny/fate and free will. I have no doubt regarding "Divine Winds" ... I feel them every day. Our natural instinct is to be captains of our own fates, but it truly is not that way at all. At least this is my experience... so I try and go with the flow. Blessings.
