Hive training session with @ijelady.

Still on the journey of seeking knowledge, I attended another training on Sunday to learn more about Hive Blockchain and SpendHBD.
The impactful training was facilitated by one of our mentors, @ijelady

Here are the lessons I learned;

I learned that Resource Credits (RC) on the Hive blockchain social media are non-transferable and more like a currency allocated to each user account based on how much Hive Power (HP) the account holds. She stated that they are spent whenever a user performs transactions such as voting, posting, commenting, transferring tokens, or delegating HP on the platform.
Resource Credits enable feeless transactions and also prevent spam and abuse on the network.

I learned that one can earn rewards by referring new users to SpendHBD.
The rewards include 2.5% of your referral cashbacks(i.e whenever they make purchases using SpendHBD).
She gave an illustration of how she earned around 2hbd through rewards from those she referred after they did shopping

I learned how to build meaningful connections on the Blockchain by creating quality content and engaging strategically with other Hivers

I also explored the benefits of participating in a contest which include boosting visibility and engagement, earning rewards like HBD and other tokens, and contributing to the Blockchain’s growth.

Newbies who were present at the training asked questions on the communities they should join. They were instructed to explore communities that align with their interest, and engage with people.

In the end, @ijelady encouraged us to keep showing up because Hive Blockchain is a platform where everyone has equal opportunity.
