Un saluto a tutti,

non credo servano altre parole.. l'abbiamo amata, l'abbiamo supportata, c'abbiamo creduto fino all'ultimo ma credo che le speranze che nella blockchain di Steem si potesse celare ancora qualcosa di buono e utile sono morte e sepolte assieme alle incomprensibili politiche gestionali di chi ne ha rilevato la gestione.

Forse nelle ultime ore avrete notato un aumento delle quotazioni di steem ma non illudetevi perchè credo si tratti della solita speculazione di Justin Sun sull'ultima indiscrezione che si sta diffondendo nelle ultime ore.

Infatti ***si vocifera che domani, 20 Maggio, avverrà un Hard Fork sulla blockchain di Steem*** e che lo scopo dello stesso sia quello di portare il periodo di powerdown a 4 settimane invece delle attuali 13 settimane.

Attenzione, non sto dicendo che sia una cosa necessariamente negativa perchè di ridurre i tempi di powerdown si è parlato per molto tempo e in tanti erano a favore di questa riduzione.

***Il problema vero sono le modalità con cui avverrà questo Hard Fork.***

Di solito un HF è ampiamente pubblicizzato a favore della comunità e degli stakeholders che possono mettere in atto le opportune decisioni rispetto al suo contenuto, ma soprattutto a favore degli exchange che possono adeguarsi allo stesso e dei witnesses che ne possono rivedere il codice per evitare malfunzionamenti o freeze della blockchain.

Ma principalmente un Hard Fork va discusso all'interno della comunità perchè una blockchain non appartiene a una sola persona, cosa che attualmente Steem rappresenta: una proprietà privata.

***Quello che sta succedendo in Steem è la negazione del DPoS*** (Delegated Proof of Stake) e il suo fallimento incondizionato.

**Le domande su questo Hard Fork segreto sono tante:**

- *perchè tenerlo nascosto?*
- *Perchè non informare la community?*
- *Perchè non rendere il codice disponibile per tutti, come è sempre stato per gli altri HF?*

Come ho già detto, nascondere il codice fa nascere qualche sospetto, in quanto se l'unica novità introdotta dall'HF fosse solo il cambio del periodo di Powerdown, non riesco a immaginare perchè non pubblicizzarlo e soprattutto non permettere agli sviluppatori di poter accedere al codice.
E' normale essere sospettosi in queste circostanze, soprattutto alla luce dell'atteggiamento di Justin Sun degli ultimi mesi.

Tutto questo fa nascere nella mia mente il sospetto che si proceda a grandi passi verso la fine di Steem e la migrazione verso Tron, che poi era il progetto iniziale di Sun e che secondo me non è mai cambiato.

Sun ha cercato di camuffare il più possibile il mantenimento di questo obiettivo rendendo il passaggio più lento e meno traumatico, ma da uomo d'affari qual e' non credo che qualche protesta possa avergli fatto cambiare idea.

Resto esterefatto nel vedere che c'è gente che ancora lo sostiene, mentre lui continua a fare i propri interessi e a giocare con le quotazioni di steem con continui pump&dump, non ultimo quello che sta avvenendo in queste ore.

Credo sia utile informarvi che @blocktrades non accetterà più steem, almeno finchè non potrà accedere al codice dell'Hard Fork; questa è una prassi del tutto normale in quanto di solito tutti gli exchange prima di un HF sospendono depositi e prelievi come forma di sicurezza.

Ho scritto questo post per puro spirito informativo, in quanto so che molti dei miei lettori hanno ancora steem nel loro wallet e sono ancora alle prese con il powerdown; è dunque importante, per non dire fondamentale, essere aggiornati su queste notizie per poter prendere le opportune precauzioni.

***Questo Hard Fork potrebbe avere ripercussioni su Hive?***

Forse si, se pensiamo che in tanti stanno facendo powerdown su Steem per acquistare Hive, questo HF potrebbe accelerare questo processo se fosse confermato la riduzione del tempo di Powerdown.
Ma questa è solo una supposizione e l'intera questione andrebbe approfondita meglio.

Concludo dicendo che stiamo parlando di "rumors", indiscrezioni, in quanto di ufficiale non c'è ancora nessuna notizia. La fonte è @blocktrades e io credo che sia autorevole, ma ovviamente anche loro parlano di notizie trapelate benchè si dichiarano quasi sicuri che questo Hard Fork avverrà il 20 Maggio.

L'attesa non sarà lunga, un solo giorno.. in cui sono sicuro ne vedremo delle belle...

I don't think we need other words... we loved it, we supported it, we believed in it to the last but I think that the hopes that something good and useful could still be hidden in Steem's blockchain are dead and buried together with the incomprehensible management policies of those who took over its management.

Maybe in the last few hours you may have noticed an increase in Steem's prices but don't delude yourself because I think it's Justin Sun's usual speculation about the latest rumor that is spreading in the last few hours.

In fact ***it is rumored that tomorrow, May 20, there will be a Hard Fork on Steem's blockchain*** and that the purpose of the same is to bring the powerdown period to 4 weeks instead of the current 13 weeks.

Mind you, I'm not saying that this is necessarily a bad thing because there has been talk for a long time of reducing powerdown times and many people were in favor of this reduction.

***The real problem is how this Hard Fork is going to happen.***

Usually an HF is widely publicized in favour of the community and stakeholders who can implement the appropriate decisions regarding its content, but especially in favour of exchanges who can adapt to it and witnesses who can review the code to avoid blockchain malfunctioning or freeze.

But mainly a Hard Fork should be discussed within the community because a blockchain does not belong to one person, which currently Steem represents: a private property.
