# Gardening update on Jun 1st, 2025

Gardening and tidying up the garden are enjoyable activities for me, and they really help me relax. I feel lucky to have even a small garden, especially since some folks in Osaka don’t have one. My mother’s hydrangeas are starting to bloom, bringing such a lovely splash of color to the garden this time of year. I’m also excited that the mountain grapes we planted last year will bear fruit for the first time! There are so many berries; I can’t wait to soak them in liqueur to make some delicious fruit wine. Plus, I planted a branch of an emperor dahlia that my uncle gave me, which is supposed to grow over 4 meters tall! I’m really looking forward to watching it thrive.

たまにする庭の掃除や、ガーデニングが癒しになっている。大阪にはなかなか庭がない人も居てるので、小さな庭でもあることに感謝している。オカンが大切に育てているアジサイが咲き始めた。きれいな色のアジサイは毎年この時期に庭をきれいに彩りを加えてくれる。昨年植えたヤマブドウが今年は初めて実がつきそうです。それも本当にたくさんの実がなっていて、リキュールに漬けて果実酒を作るのを楽しみにしています。そして、叔父から頂いた皇帝ダリアの枝を植えてみました。4m以上にもなるらしく、その成長がとても楽しみです。
