The NBA season is still young, but we are already seeing a breakout performance from Blake Griffin. 

As a number one pick, Blake Griffin has always had high expectations, and of course, that comes with all the haters and doubters as well.

Griffin's injury woes has been well documented in the last 2 season.  And that is the main reason why he has always been in the forefront of various trade rumours. 

***But this season seems different.***

First of all, Chris Paul decided to bring his talents over to Houston.  

And then Griffin signed a max extension with the Clippers.  Making him the de facto leader of the Clippers team.

In response to the trust that the franchise has placed upon him.  Blake Griffin is having a breakout season so far.

- He is playing smarter, which potentially lessens his chances of getting injured.

- He still dunks with the same ferocity when the opportunity presents itself.  Just ask Rudy Gobert.

- He is not shying away from taking the big shots.

If the Clippers keeps winning and Blake stays healthy, he should definitely be mentioned as a MVP candidate this season.
