It was a sunny day in the early morning of June of the year 1993, and little 9-year old Makoto Tachibana was at school. His name was Makoto too and he had just recently started middle school. His father was a famous scientist who invented a time machine. He had created a prototype that only worked in short bursts. When you pushed a button it would send your living self back to a point in your life when you went to bed that very night. They had to keep the button covered as that would put too many constraints on his invention, and moved the button from the house into their garage every time he went to bed.

At the moment he was in his bedroom studying for a math exam. He had gotten so deep into his books that he had no idea the time. He had just finished studying and was laying in bed thinking, when there was a knock at the door.

''Mom, I don't think I'll be able to finish the test today. May I go out and play with my friends?'' He asked his mother.

His mom, Yuuki Tachibana, said. ''Boys don't finish their tests at the age of 10.'' As she said this she moved the button to the garage and the activation sequence was done.

''I will try and finish the test.'' He said to his mom as she moved the button back home.

The light in the room flashed and there was a huge flash. With this flash, Akira a baby dinosaur made an entrance into this world. He had created a perfect replica of a now extinct dinosaur, and with his help they were brought back to life. This was all done in secrecy of course, as his invention was too young to be released into the world. He hadn't told anybody about it so far. It was his secret, and it would stay like that until further notice. There was, however, a danger of that secret getting out _ and that was the reason why he sent Akira back into the past.

''What is this?'' He asked.

''It's a dinosaur. It has a lot of potential. We need to find out who made it to find out why they are extinct.''

''What do you mean?''

''This is a direct result of me being abducted by space aliens.'' He answered.

''I found the creator, he's here right now."

''What are you talking about? How could you find them?'

''Isn't it obvious? I have a far superior perception and understanding of the time line than you do. Besides there is only one person who built it, so there is only one person who could build it; putting aside the alien invasion factor, there is only one person who could have made this dinosaur.'' He explained.

''Who is that?''

''It's me! I am the one who built it!'' He said.

''Have you gone insane? Well, it is certainly an improvement to your previously unbearable behavior.''

''I am not insane! Listen up, the space aliens abducted me and brought me back to their planet so I would help them build a time machine to get them back to their time. So it's clear that this entire timeline came from me being abducted. Because of this, the dinosaurs are extinct, and that is why I built the dinosaur.'' He said, barely finishing his explanation when Yuuki moved the button out of the house and activated the sequence.

The light flashes. With this flash all the dinosaurs from the dinosaur graveyard disappeared, and the dinosaurs that were in the dinosaur box had disappeared. Something hit the ground with a thump and this shook Makoto's window. He looked through the window and saw a dinosaur on the ground outside, then he also saw his mother looking out the window.

''Mom, who is that?'' Makoto said.

''It's just your dad, this is his weapon. It creates a very powerful sound wave. The next time you move the button home this makes a wake that goes as far as the eye can see.'' She explained.

''That's reasonable. Now if we could only find a way to get Akira back. What would you do if something like this happened?' He suggested.

''What do you mean?''

''I mean that I have one of the now extinct dinosaurs in my backpack; how would we possibly get back to normal?'

''Impossible! You'll just have to keep Akira and take care of him forever.''

''What! You are serious cuz you're not joking?''

''Of course I am. We would never be able to find him, and besides if we did it would cause so many consequences because they are not meant to be in the time period where they are now. So you'll just have to do without him.''

''This is like a nightmare, there is no way for me to possibly lead a normal life any longer.''

''Boy, come here. I have something else to tell you.'' Hiro said, who was about to take Akira to a safe place.

No he wasn't really about to take him to a safe place, but that was what he told Makoto. This was something that didn't happen, because he had no idea that something like this could even happen. So now he looked at him with a big smile hoping to deceive him even further, when he had in fact been wrong before.

''I never want to see you again.'' Makoto said as he looked out the window. Akira then jumped down the mountain.

''Don't worry, I'll help you find him.'' Hiro said.

''Oh yes! And how are you going to do that exactly?''

''Well... The only logical explanation that there is no way that we can find him is if he got killed, and that would only happen if he was somewhere beyond our imagination. So he is either lost or dead.''

''Continue...''

''So either we find a dinosaur from the dinosaur graveyard, or find a place that has dinosaurs, and then we need to find evidence that he is either lost or dead. This evidence would then be proof enough that something like this has happened, we would then be able to break the barrier of time and engage in a time machine, which would then enable us to return to that date and locate him.'' He explained, then he drove to a distant part of the city and dismounted. ''You should head back home, but carefully, this place is not ordinary.'' He said, as Hiro was driving in the opposite direction away from home.

Makoto then walked back home. He just barely managed to escape with his life as the main door was blown in by a gigantic force. It had been washed by a powerful sound wave that had come from the direction of the place where Akira was. He was alone, Makoto wasn't sure if Hiro did it, but his mom was gone, and the moving of the button from the house back to the garage had begun.

A dinosaur then came out from under a car. With its help he drove home.

By the time Akira reached the small park he was being pursued by the police. This is how he ended up where he was to begin with. Suddenly he was told by the robots that they had been ordered to kill him, and he was ordered to obey orders, so he ran away.

After a few minutes he came upon the dinosaur graveyard on the mountain, and this is where he ran straight to. Hiro was now chasing him and had caught up. He wanted to use his father's car, which had been destroyed by sound waves.

As this was happening Makoto decided to go the other way, although he knew that when he reached the point from which he could no longer see Akira, he would be doomed. He looked back and saw Hiro coming, and then he saw the dinosaur graveyard. ''Wow, it actually exists.'' He said, and he also saw lights moving around. As he approached he saw that it was in fact a group of people. Jeez, this was like a huge settlement. This might not be a good idea to come here alone, he said to himself.
