How to do your own live stream event on Steemit

<p>If you have a live event coming up, want to stream live gaming or live stream anything else here on steemit.</p>
<p>I have think i have come up with a pretty simple way to do it with just a few easy steps.</p>
<p>It may not be perfect but i think it can get the job done.</p>
<p>The first thing you want to do is.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p><strong>1. Create a Live Stream on youtube.&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Since you can embed youtube links here on Steemit you can also embed live youtube streams as well.&nbsp;</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Example:&nbsp;</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Oxford Martin School Webcam - Broad Street, Oxford</p>

<p>If you don't know how to set up a live stream up I have included some helpful videos below that will show you how.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>But for this case let's say you already know how. You want to go under the live streaming tab then go down to where it says events.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Now you can schedule your event. Once you have your event set up now you have a link that you can put in your steemit post.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Also you can tweek it a little if you want. these are just somethings that</p>
<p>could make your live stream geared more towards Steemit.</p>
<p>You could set your live stream to unlisted or private, this way if someone does visit your youtube channel they will not see it and the only way to see it is on steemit</p>
<p>also you can disable chat so if they do see your live stream on youtube you can direct them to steemit so they can join in on the chat there.&nbsp;</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>&nbsp;In the next step I will show you how to set up a chat room for your live stream on steemit.&nbsp;</p>

<p><strong>2. Create a private chat room for your stream.</strong></p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Since there is no way that I know of to embed the live chat from youtube into your post, I think I have the next best thing.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>You could go to live stream on youtube and just enable chat and on there, but to me that kinda defeats the purpose of &nbsp;having your stream on steemit.</p>
<p>You want people to stay on your steemit post so they can comment and upvote your stream as it is happining.&nbsp;</p>
<p>So here is the solution I came up with.&nbsp;</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Go to the website http://chatcrypt.com</p>
<p>then just follow the simple instruction on how to set up a secure private chat room. once you set it up you will see a small chat window pop up.</p>
<p>just go back to your steemit post and drag the chat window where ever you want it. this way you can watch the live stream and chat at the same time.</p>
<p>&nbsp;After that all you have to do is let others join in the chat. &nbsp;and its just as simple as linking them to chatcrypt.com and give them the name of the chat room and password to enter.</p>
<p>They will have a small chat window pop up just like you did and they can drag that window wherever they want to.</p>
<p>pretty simple. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now you should have a live stream that people can chat while it is going on, &nbsp;plus leave comments and upvote all at the same time.</p>

<p>here is a example of what your post could look like. ( I just used a random live feed from youtube and the chat is active so go play around with it)</p>

we need our own decentralized live streaming service

there is another livestream you could use, and then just link to your steemit page as a way to "donate" by giving steem or upvoting!

one day youtube will start banning us for being  on steemit and "monetizing" our youteb streams "without" them as a "violation" of their policy watch, we will need to allow OTHR videos services to have embedded videos!!! why oes steemit SUPORT ONLY youtube?!?!??!??!
