Who knows if it will work out profitably, but I'm thankful for men like Musk giving it a shot. I'm also super excited for his photovoltaic roof tiles. Planning on installing them along with a PowerWall once he gets the price down to where he wants it.

Yeah, I dont know if you checked out my other post I linked to about lithium mining but it is a pretty big operation to get the lithium for the battery packs, I could see that as a potential problem/environmental concern in the future. I agree though its good to see people try and innovate. Energy tech is so exciting, those roof tiles could be a game changer for a lot of places that lack power plants/infrastructure.
