That's what I felt when I flew to London last year! I had the luck to get a seat at the window and it was the best weather you can imagine. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. The clouds were those real fluffy clouds, nothing to see, just an ocean of clouds and the sun!!! Wonderful! It was even better, when I flew to South Africa.

Yeah we are just little ants....

Reminding ourselves of how small we are in the grand scheme a things is a good way to retain focus and the drive to push forward.

The most powerful moment I've had like this was arriving late at night on the island of Gozo which is very sparsely populated, and noticeing I could see the stars in the night sky clearly for the first time in my life. We miss that kind of connection with the infinite in our modern lives

self confidence is really important but going crazy over it and thinking to so everything ahead of the boundaries is where it will lead us to failure thanks for this great post

Wonderful captured scenario of things with such great thinking how small we all are we are not superior and never will be but we need to do the work which speaks by itself and leave the legacy forever

It is very good to recognize the majesty of God, that he is our creator and that without him we are nothing we have everything by his grace and mercy. As the scriptures say, God loves the humble of heart but looks afar off at the haughty.

One doesn't have to believe in a creator to respect the planet we live on. Our Earthship is just perfect to travel space. To have faith in what is good and valuable though requires ethics which help us not to lose wisdom and empathy for all living creatures. 

Where do those ethics come from? In the history of man there always were figures and rituals to teach and remind us that worshiping what there is, is smart and needed. Each and every one of us is a model for other people. Nobody remains unheard and unseen for what one takes action or omission for. 

Feeling small to put things in perspective once in a while feels great!! ;-)

I agree that we are in a transcendental act of creation and exactly that makes each individual so important for the bigger picture. Everyone brings its value to the world which is unique in the entire universe. 

And even though we are small, we are all giants that can move worlds. In fact, in do believe we live in the most dramatic part of (known) human history and things are enfolding in front of our eyes on a magnitude far beyond our comprehension.

I am very happy to be alive right now!

excellent thoughts, I agree with your statements. People can do their work very well, it increases self-esteem, but do not forget that in the scale of our planet or even the universe we are only small crumbs.
This works and when you think that your problems are very large, then you should relax and imagine that your problems are insignificant in the scale of the universe :)

If you look from a distance, everything is so so small. So we are.
The incredible thing is, that all small things complement each other and become a part of a whole ecosystem.

There is someone who has had a genius idea and he did a good job with creating the earth. 

Everytime I'm sitting in the nature I marvel how awesome and beautiful our planet is and that everything has its own role in a large system..

Can't be thankful enough for that!

I know exactly what you mean. It's important to keep a sense of perspective. Looking at the stars, you can feel tiny and insignificant, but then you can remember that we're all made of stardust and children of the universe. It doesn't matter how often I fly, I never lose that sense of wonder when I look out of the window and watch the world drop away. You're clearly a well balanced, grounded individual, with a centred view of your place in this world. It was great to read your post. (BTW, I love Cologne, I spent a lot of time there through work.)

I do like your thoughts buddy !It is us that we decide how we should act ,and in time it just becomes a bit more than self confidence .Like people say "confidence is good but overconfidence is not !"
And yes our Creator is really the biggest architect of all .His creations are the most significant and praiseworthy !

When I sit on aircraft my ears gives me the trouble.. and I get sick when flying through clouds.. and the bird eyes view feels great looking down seeing how everything is so small.. the only answer is.. everything in the world belongs to God, including my own life and He gave me my life and assigned me as a manager.. everything belongs to Him and He can replace me anytime He wants.. and He can create as many more as He wants to replace me.. for which I know I'm just a temporary being and I have to die one day and that keeps me not to think so high of myself.. Gratitude towards the world is my source of motivation as well as self-confidence.. thanks for this wonderful post you made which also gave me a chance to reply here

In fact, it only shows that you are a good person. Some people hurt those people who thought "I can do everything". It's nice that you can notice it when you fly. Bende often happens while looking at this sea. When I look at the spectacular sea I realize I am very small.
