It is becoming a universal truth that Bangladesh cannot play test matches! Otherwise, there is no way to explain their plays in the recent test series. Even now, when they are in West Indies, they have barely escaped a 3 day’s defeat.


Though the match has gone on the fourth day. Match ended in the first hour as no miracle happens. The players may go through a bad patch but they have to come back strongly. I think they have been given more than enough chances to prove their worth to the team.

On the first day, things were looking gloomy for the visitor at that time when they were bowled out below 50! Thanks to Shakib’s not test-like approach, Bangladesh was able to cross 100 run mark.

One thing is certain, the recent performance of the fast bowlers can rise hope. If the number of catches the fielders missed, the reviews they have wasted, the reviews they have not taken, and the times they have not appealed were not this horrible, there could be more joy for the supporters of Bangladesh.

The third wicket of the West Indians could have fallen a lot earlier if the slip had not stood like a fool who was at a loss! Even the captain could be gone for a duck. Yet they were able to pull the things under 300 was a good sign.

One could hope that after the first innings of disastrous batting, the second innings they come to bat will be better. Well, they played so better there was the possibility to lose by an innings! They were five down for a hundred.

Shakib to the rescue again! This time Nurul gave him some support so they were able to avoid the innings loss and gained little lead. If they could only not give their wickets the target could be respectable.

In the last hour, when the Windies came to bat, Khalid tormented them. They were 3 down for only 9. This might have grown hope for the BD supporters. If the bowlers could create more pressure and grab some more wickets, things could become interesting.

But the last pair handled the BD bowlers well and also scored runs. No miraculous comeback for Bangladesh this time. West Indies have won it handsomely not losing any more wickets. 

It will be one of the worse performances of the Bangladesh Test history.
