I have been here 16 days and have seen an account growth of a [bunch](https://steemit.com/@molovelly/transfers). I'm not a mathy type person. I deal in words, and lots of them. I started out by following the helpful dolphins and whales like @walkingkeys and @cryptoctopus, for their endless supply of quality tips and excellent advice, and then I got to work. <br><div class="pull-left">https://media.giphy.com/media/14nTxvca5mi8hi/giphy.gif</div> <h1><em>That's exactly what I did...</em></h1>I wrote poems and short stories about real life events. I was starting to think that I was writing too much about real life, and then I saw a post this morning that  helped me realize that I am on the right track. I am doing the things that I need to be doing to grow influence. Influence means readers. Readers mean more influence. My earnings have been about 75% writing and 25% commenting, but I keep adding consistently thereby adding greater value to my contributions to other Steemians.<br><br>

I have found my home and have pretty much left other social media places in the dust. The old saying is true, <em>it's not work when you love what you do</em>.
