<h1>Account Confirmed, Now What?</h1>
You checked your email, and your Steemit account is confirmed! Now what? If you've followed our previous 2 tutorials, you've created a Steemit.com account, and you have a vague understanding of how voting works on the platform. We're going to be using that knowledge and some new tricks to craft your first successful Steemit post!
We'll also be going over some safety protocols, aka, backing up our information.
Our next post will cover how to be financially efficient on Steemit. Including the best strategies on how to make money on Steemit.
<h2> Part 1: Email_Confirmed </h2>
After you click the link in your email you will find a screen that displays a popup with a Term of Agreements for Steemit. Click the check box at the bottom and continue to the next step.
<h2>Part 2: Saving_Your_Password!!!</h2>
Next we'll find ourselves at a screen where a new Steemit password has been generated for us. Do NO LOSE THIS. I suggest copying the password and immediately saving it in multiple places. We have saved ours on Google Drive, but any cloud storage platform will do.
Once, you have saved your password, return to the screen where your password was generated for you, and paste it in the "re-enter" box. Click continue to proceed to the next step.
<h2> You're All Signed-up!</h2>
Congratulations, you're all signed up for steemit and ready to make your first post!
Navigate to your blog by pressing the avatar icon in the top right hand corner (currently empty) and using the drop down to visit your blog. Once on your blog, click the "Post" button on the top right hand corner of the screen.

<h2> Writing Your First Post</h2>
For your first post, you want to write about...yourself. Introduce yourself to the steemit community and tell everyone about what you aim to achieve on steemit. What do you plan to post? What interest you? What's it like where you're from? What have you been through? All of these are great solo topics, or things to include in your first Steemit post.
It's also a good idea to <b>include a picture of yourself</b>, as this makes your account seem more human, and thus, more appealing to those stopping by for a quick read. If you choose not to include a photo of yourself, at least include a photo of something that interests your or pertains to one of the topics you've mentioned. The reason for this, is so that your post will have a thumbnail. It's a good rule of --thumb, to always ensure that your post has a -- thumbnail. But seriously, not doing so could make it very easy for people to breeze right by your amazing post.
<h2> Add Good Tags</h2>
You should always include tags with your post, and as a professional digital marketer, I would suggest that you use the maximum allowed of 5, but that's just me...you should use 5. Also, you should make sure that those 5 tags are actually relevant. Not just relevant to your topic, but also relevant to Steemit. Remember you're minnow, you want to be found. Using random and obscure hashtags that no one searches will not often lead to a succesful post.
On the other hand, using 1 or 2 niche hashtags can result in you being one of the few people consistently posting in a category. I suggest looking around and making a decision based on traffic to the tags you plan on using.
