# Hello Hive

It was a beauty to behold today when I went shopping in this basket and wood art workshop. Active farm work is about to start and I will be in need of these items. The basket is a very useful farming 🧺🥝 tools and the woven cap is needed as a shield from the sun. The temperature is usually very high that it becomes so unbearable from midday. Knowing fully well that we will be spending more time working in the hot sun I want to be fully prepared.

* Sunshields🌞
* Water bottles 
* Food flasks
* Hoes and Cutlasses 
* Water drawers 
* Footwears/Boots 

These are some of the items in my to buy list as the farming goals for the year. 
We had a slight shower of rain yesterday that did wet the ground.
And like I have mentioned earlier the clearing is in progress in the 22acre of land we have planned to work with this year. After clearing is the ploughing/Ridging then preparation of seeds and planting.



The Workshop I visited is engaged different wood work.
I was amazed to see all this handmade wooden craft. Here is the lovely basket I got for $4, it is used for picking fruits and during harvest. I can equally be employed for keeping seeds or holding items.

Then a cap as a Sunshields 🌞 for $1, my brother who followed me to the workshop was also fascinated by the cap and wore it almost immediately.

Now the business owner here has over 40years of experience and over time his craft has grown from just weaving basket to making all these lovely, decorative and useful wood/household furniture.



I explored the place looking at all his beautiful crafts

Having taking a tour I engaged in a chat with the workman and store owner to hear a little bit about how he started his business and for how long he has been doing this.

I learnt a bit about wood craft

He called this one the skeleton, it is the base from which baskets are weaved round about it.

Below is a chair been made in progress.
There are several working tools here and in some instance they need to make some iron work that will fixed as a stand for these chairs

This is our heritage and I can tell you that this workshop is at the center of Ilorin city.
How about  decorating your homes with wooden chairs instead of glasses that do not break 
They do not only add beauty to our homes but the comfort and convinience of carrying a wooden forniture around.

If ever I get an opportunity of a home this will be prioritized as household furniture. It may have its own disadvantages but I am pleased with  this beauty and cultural heritage.It is one cool place to spend your money. Every form of crafts/arts attracts me, from pencil work (drawing ) to paintings, paper crafts, ceramics and now I see these wooden crafts and the beauty here did bless my day.
I am happy for the items I purchased and will be visiting this store every now and then to get more quality items.
