It is a pleasure to celebrate grandma @85 in a special way. 
I covet this age and kind of blessings 
First of all it is grace that keeps one to see 85years in this our present time, the challenges and hurdles on the way as we add more years can be enormous and overwhelming. 
Many at 85 can barely walk well and have to make us of a walking aid 
Many at this age  are on a battle with one health issue or the other. 
But grandma is whole,  healthy and healthy.

She deserves a victors song because it is not when we depart these earth that we receive our crown, some hero's deserved to be celebrated in their lifetime. 

We sing accolades to them and appreciate then while they are still alive. 
We create these loving memories that will last for a life time. In as much as we don't want them to leave us, their memory will always live on in us. 

My grandma is gonna be here with me till 120,  that I can bet with @gloriaolar.

And because I have the privileged to find my heart semblance I feel so lucky. 
We have often had a heart to heart  conversation, sometimes words don't have to be spoken, just a sign and we know what that means. 


She is my hero and role model, my spiritual mother and the very shoulder I could lean on just like this.

The bond between us is something you can never understand but this is how I tap into the wisdom of our elders. 
Am already thinking like a wise old woman 😂😁. 


It was a gathering of thanksgiving and appreciation to God for the life of grandma.

Wow she looks so young and beautiful and I'm so happy that you and @gloriaolar still have her around as your friend and to guide you all through the wonders of life- she looks like a very wise and compassionate woman.

She actually has a very regal style to her too.

She looks so happy celebrating such a special day with you all and it made me smile to see those photos of your head on her shoulder.

And I'm so happy to see you wearing one of your beautiful creations too (especially the pink!..lol.. you know me I love love LOVE colour!)

I am actually in the house that I grew up in staying for a week for my dad's 87th birthday next week and unfortunately he is very body is very frail but his mind is still good, so we spend our time sitting around and looking at old photos and some really really old B&W photos of his ancestors and he tells me stories and I record him speaking on my phone so I can also pass those recordings around to the rest of the family and we will never forget his voice- or his humour when he does leave us. Special times with such special people eh.

Please wish you grandma a birthday full of happiness, love, peace and beauty for me.
